Back in 2016, the FBI illegally used Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants to spy on the incoming administration of President Donald Trump. Apparently, they haven’t learned their lesson since that public debacle because they are doing it AGAIN.
At the time, the FBI and the DOJ worked together to abuse the FISA process, omitting very important information in order to obtain warrants to surveil a foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump named Carter Page.
Then, they went on to frame Page as a Russian agent and conjured up the now-debunked Steele Dossier which was used as the basis for the narrative that Trump was working with the Russians, a disgusting lie that nearly tore this country apart.
But they didn’t just spy on incoming Trump officials and try to destroy them using the legal system. It was so much worse than that.
The Russiagate hoax was FILLED with rather convenient leaks by the FBI themselves, which gave ammunition to the Democrat propagandists who were more than happy to spread LIES in order to tarnish Trump’s name.
CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post were among those who published articles containing classified information which someone at the FBI leaked to them to print as hit pieces on President Donald Trump.
Then, to “try and find the source of these leaks,” the FBI did more spying… on members of Congress.
Two congressional Reps and 43 of their staffers had their privacy stripped away from them, as the feds dug into their text message logs, email recipient addresses, and call detail records.
Next, the feds handicapped any committee who was trying to hold them accountable by you guessed it – spying on them!
This included the House Intelligence Committee which at the time was chaired by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA). One of the top investigators on this committee was none other than Kash Patel, the very same man which President Trump just picked to lead the FBI.
Patel helped to expose the FBI’s abuse of power in obtaining the illegal FISA warrants on the Trump team, so the FBI responded by subpoenaing all of his private communications dating back to December, 2016.
We didn’t find out about just how far the FBI had gone to coverup their crimes until THIS MONTH when a Justice Department Inspector General report quietly exposed all of this.
But here’s the kicker – it could happen again.
The DOJ’s Congressional Investigations Policy was modified slightly to “protect” against this sort of thing from happening, but not really.
The IG report admits that the changes to this policy do not protect against the sort of illegal leaks to the media which really drove Russiagate. On top of that, no leaker was ever charged for disseminating classified intel to the media.
So why WOULDN’T the Democrat operatives in our government try to pull this off one last time before Kash Patel takes a wrecking ball to the FBI for what they’ve done?
These Deep State tyrants could very well be doing all of it RIGHT NOW which means it’s only a matter of time before they try and unleash another Russiagate-scaled hoax on us.
