Sometimes the truth is uglier than fiction. What’s happening in Portland is not just un-American—it’s downright evil. The radical left-wing mob known as Antifa has now stooped to a new low: using elderly homeless people as pawns in their anti-police, anti-ICE protests. According to Portland Police Sergeant John Edwards, these so-called “activists” are coercing vulnerable, older homeless individuals into provoking federal agents at ICE facilities. That’s right—Antifa is using the weak and the poor to do their dirty work.
Sergeant Edwards wrote in an internal email that he witnessed Antifa members escorting elderly homeless individuals to the gates of a federal immigration facility. These individuals were told to rattle the fence or cause distractions, just to stir up a response from law enforcement. One elderly man reportedly begged federal agents to let him approach the gate just to “rattle it” so that Antifa would leave him and others alone. Think about that for a second. These people are so afraid of the radical agitators around them that they are asking federal agents for help.
This is not peaceful protesting. This is not about justice. This is about intimidation, manipulation, and chaos. This is how Antifa operates—by hiding behind the weak while they push their violent, anti-American agenda.
And what is the city of Portland doing about it? Suing President Trump for sending in National Guard troops to restore order. That’s right—the city is more concerned about protecting Antifa’s so-called “rights” than about defending its citizens or its streets. And a Trump-appointed judge, unfortunately, blocked the President’s move to send in the Guard. So the violence continues. The intimidation continues. And the elderly homeless are being used like pawns in a sick political chess game.
Let’s not forget—these protests aren’t new. They’ve been going on for months, and they’ve only gotten more dangerous. People have been arrested for assaulting officers, pointing lasers at helicopters, and setting fires. The Department of Justice is doing its job—charging criminals and investigating the obvious bias of Portland’s law enforcement against conservatives.
One case that stands out is that of conservative journalist Nick Sortor. He was arrested by Portland Police for trying to stop Antifa from burning an American flag. You read that right—he tried to stop a flag from being burned, and he got arrested. Meanwhile, the leftist rioters are allowed to wreak havoc with hardly any consequences.
President Trump has taken a bold stand by officially labeling Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. His administration is working hard to dismantle their operations, and not a moment too soon. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller called the Portland unrest an “organized campaign of domestic terrorism targeting the core operations of the federal government.” And he’s exactly right.
This is about more than just Portland. This is about what kind of country we want to live in. One where violent mobs manipulate the vulnerable to attack law enforcement? Or one where law and order is respected, the rule of law upheld, and the weak protected?
The radical left wants you to believe this is about fighting injustice. But when you’re using old, homeless people as shields in your war against America, you’ve lost all moral ground. It’s time to call it what it is—evil. And it’s time to stand up to it, before more innocent people get caught in the crossfire.
God bless the men and women in law enforcement, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
