Democrats have long pushed for mandated mask-wearing even as some experts have questioned their efficacy in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Now, the CDC has altered its guidelines and noted that fully vaccinated Americans don’t need to wear masks outside.
President Biden, however, is having none of it. As a member of “The Party that Embraces Science”, he says he will still wear a mask outdoors if someone is next to him because “It’s a patriotic responsibility for God’s sake.”
The President’s obsession with wearing a mask has been impossible not to notice. He wore one on a Zoom call with world leaders to discuss climate change, even though there is no change the novel coronavirus could spread via Zoom — and no other world leader bothered wearing one. He also wears one outdoors even though he is vaccinated and therefore can’t spread the coronavirus to people or get sick when around others.
Some would say that it’s a personal decision, just as not wearing a mask should be a personal decision. However, the president’s decision to keep wearing a mask isn’t just personal. Even CNN has called President Biden out, noting that his decision to keep wearing a mask runs contrary to his assertions that getting the COVID-19 vaccine is the ticket back to a normal life.
If one has to keep wearing a mask and social distancing even after getting a shot, there really is no benefit in getting one. Such a message could not be coming at a worse time for the Biden Administration as vaccine centers around the nation shut down as the only people who are left to get vaccinated are those who aren’t interested in the jab.
President Biden’s obsessive use of masks is not only derailing his goal of vaccinating enough people in the United States to achieve herd immunity. It’s also showing the entire nation that, contrary to comments made during his inauguration and afterward, unity is not high on his list of priorities.
Many Republican governors have lifted mandatory mask mandates in their states as vaccinations rates rise and COVID-19 infection rates plunge. The President has denounced them as “Neanderthals” even as cases continue to plunge. At the same time, cases are rising in Michigan, the state that instituted horrifically draconian lockdown regulations just a year ago.
Even a cursory look at “The Science” makes it clear that the President needs to stop focusing on trying to force people to don masks and instead look for ways to give Americans their lives back.
I’m more patriotic than dementia Joe so I’ll continue to live my life without demands from an idiot with dementia . I will go where I want with whom I want. The craziest thing I see is all the mask wearing outside. I will celebrate the 4th of July with a big get together and when fireworks go off we will have fun burning masks. Dementia Joe also needs the nickname of mentally retarded Joe because he stopped the work on the pipeline completely and stopped the completion of the the southern boarder wall so illegal immigrants can just walk across the boarder into the USA. Then after those illegals get here they bring who knows what viruses or other diseases with them. There’s NO WAY they can be checked because there are so many. There was someone who didn’t like other Presidents and killed or tried to kill them just because they didn’t like them. Biden is screwing everything up and he still lives.
