Special Counsel David Weiss told a judge earlier this week he is planning to indict Hunter Biden before the end of the month – but don’t be fooled, it’s not what it seems.
According to a new court filing, Special Counsel Weiss intends to indict the First Son on new felony gun charges to make it appear as though the Biden DOJ is not entirely corrupt.
“[T]he Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, Sept 29, 2023, at the earliest,” Weiss wrote, adding, “The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date.”
In the past, many had predicted that the DOJ would charge Hunter with something small and inconsequential to trick the American people into believing that our justice system is fair.
Back in August, Weiss helped to craft a plea deal which would do just that – keeping Hunter out of jail while granting him immunity from future charges.
The agreement afforded Hunter Biden the ability to plead guilty to not paying taxes on over $1.5 million in income in 2017 and 2018, receiving probation rather than jail time and keeping a felony off his record over the gun violation.
That deal broke down when a judge started asking questions and realized that it was really just a clever attempt by the DOJ to grant the young Biden immunity – so now Weiss is doing it again with this indictment.
Given Weiss’ background it’s no shocker that he would go to such lengths to help keep the Bidens out of any serious trouble.
As the Washington Post reported, Weiss worked with the now deceased Beau Biden in 2010 on a large fraud case and associated with the elder Biden son during his time at the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office from 2007 up until Beau’s death in 2015.
A close Biden family aide, Alexander Mackler, was also embedded in Weiss’ office during his time as a Delaware attorney.
Mackler, was deeply connected to the Biden family for years while he worked for Weiss from 2016-2019
And Weiss has already gotten Hunter Biden out of trouble once before when he was supposed to be prosecuting Hunter for major tax crimes that conveniently resulted in a slap on the wrist for the president’s son.
In fact, if not for two IRS whistleblowers coming forward to expose Weiss’ political favoritism towards the Biden family, he had zero plans to charge Hunter with anything at all.
Now this new indictment is the latest effort by Weiss to protect the Bidens and even if by some miracle Hunter does face and legitimate charges, they will pale in comparison to the real crimes he has committed.
Let the coverup continue!
