Border Patrol Starts Charging Every Illegal Alien a $5,000 ‘Apprehension Fee’

This is so great! The Border Patrol announced on Friday that a new provision of the One Big Beautiful Bill is now in effect. Effective immediately, every illegal alien age 14 and up will be slapped with a $5,000 “apprehension fee.” This is a new fee that was authorized by Congress, and it’s on top of some of the other fines that the Border Patrol and ICE are already levying against every captured illegal alien. The message couldn’t be clearer: Self-deport now, or you will pay a serious price.

Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks made the big and beautiful announcement on Friday.

“This message applies to all illegal aliens—regardless of where they entered, how long they’ve been in the U.S., their current location, or any ongoing immigration proceedings,” said Banks.

Donald Trump has done more to disincentivize illegal immigration than any president since Dwight Eisenhower. The new $5,000 fine is not optional. The US Treasury Department will seize the funds from an illegal alien’s bank account or by auctioning off their possessions.

The Border Patrol was already assessing another fine before this one, against illegal aliens who have stayed in the US after receiving a final deportation order from a judge. If they catch those illegals again, it’s a $1,000 fine for every day they’ve stayed in the country after that.

Some of the illegals they’re catching have been in the country for over 20 years since they received their final deportation orders. That’s how non-serious previous leaders have been. If they catch those people now, that’s a $7 million fine—plus the new $5,000 apprehension fee.

This is something that has needed to happen for a long time. We’ve been one of the most non-serious countries in the world for the past 30 years on illegal immigration. Other countries don’t despise their own citizens the way that the US government hates all of us.

If you’re an illegal alien in Malaysia and they catch you, for example, they send you to prison for five years. On the day that you’re released from prison, they hold a public ceremony. A martial arts master gives you a devastatingly painful beating with a stick. The pain is so intense that you’re likely to poop your pants before finally passing out. Then you get deported.

Singapore imprisons illegal aliens for six months, administers the public stick beating, and deports you. Qatar throws you in prison for three years of back-breaking forced labor, followed by deportation. In Russia, it’s two years of forced labor followed by deportation. Japan imprisons you for three years, and Hungary gives an eight-year prison sentence for illegal immigration.

If North Korea catches an illegal immigrant, they assume that person is a spy and automatically execute them. If you even try to sneak across Saudi Arabia’s sovereign border, they’ll machinegun you in the desert and toss your corpse in a mass grave with all the other would-be illegal aliens.

As you can imagine, illegal immigration is not a major problem in any of those countries. Repeat border crossings are near zero, and final deportation orders are always obeyed.

If an illegal alien received a final deportation order in America before Trump came along, never leaving was an option. He could hang out for decades while stealing jobs, eating our dogs and cats, and raping women and children. And if you pointed out that he doesn’t seem to be assimilating well, Republican politicians would lecture you to not be so racist.

We’ve been honest with readers since the beginning of President Trump’s second term that the deportations are happening too slowly. Most of the time, the Border Patrol and ICE are still catching fewer than 1,000 per day. At that rate, it will take three years just to deport the first one million of the 50 million or so that are in the country.

Penalties like this new apprehension fee are what will keep them self-deporting at high rates. Apartment rental prices have fallen for four months straight now in American cities. It’s the first real deflation that we’re seeing since Trump has been in office. There’s still a long way to go, but America is starting to heal. More fines, more fees, and more penalties are having the desired effect.
