The insanely corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) is now begging the Department of Justice not to prosecute her after she was found to have committed a series of financial crimes.
James has been accused of committing mortgage fraud and potentially even insurance fraud on several of her properties and has been referred to the DOJ for prosecution.
A lawyer for James on Thursday urged the Justice Department to refuse a Trump administration official’s request to prosecute the Democrat for mortgage fraud, claiming that it’s “improper political retribution” which is comical considering her own history of carrying out political persecutions.
In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, James’ lawyer Abbe Lowell claimed that while the accusations are “false” (sure they are) the DOJ shouldn’t hold her accountable because it would be a “bad look.”
This letter came in response to the decision by the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency to refer James to the DOJ for possible charges of mortgage fraud.
“Letitia James has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire government backed assistance and loans, and more favorable loan terms,” FHFA Director William Pulte said in an April 15 letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche.
“While this was a long time ago, it raises serious concerns about the validity of Ms. James representations on mortgage applications,” he further wrote in the referral letter.
In one instance, James’s father even listed her as his wife so he could get a better rate on her loan. Records also show that James was listed as a co-borrower on a house being purchased by her niece.
Lowell argued to Bondi that Pulte’s letter was “seeking to revive baseless allegations.”
“We would expect a quick response confirming that this referral matter has been closed,” he concluded.
James has every reason to fear political retribution, and she should because SHE is the one who started these kinds of dirty political games.
In 2018, she literally campaigned on the promise that she would spend her entire time as attorney general targeting – not real criminals – but President Donald Trump. She didn’t have a crime, she only had a name, and she made up the crime to allow her to go after him.
After taking office, she inundated President Trump and his organization with investigation after investigation until eventually she accused him of “lying” about the value of his properties in order to secure favorable loans.
How ironic, the woman who allegedly committed fraud with her properties fabricating a crime about the president committing fraud with his properties…
Eventually, Tish James won a $454 million judgment against him in an insanely corrupt courtroom led by a Trump-hating judge who repeatedly broke protocol to ensure that the outcome was a loss for Trump.
Frankly, If I was President Trump, I’d lock this woman up for Treason – if the DOJ goes after her for just these financial crimes then she should consider herself lucky…
