In 2016, the Democrats lost a major election. They lost for a number of good reasons, but they lost primarily because they had openly sold the livelihoods and dignity of many, many decent and hard working families to foreign powers that care nothing for America’s people, culture, or wellbeing.
They lost for aligning themselves with institutions that had been telling people living in middle America for decades that they no longer matter. They lost because of the constant mockery of the southern accent in Hollywood films. They lost because they abandoned the American working man. They lost because of open hatred for whites, for men, for families, and heterosexual people. They lost because of their bigotry and their toxic pride, and because we’re sick of being called bigots when we know we are not.
Until now, there has been no evidence that they understand the reason for their dramatic loss in 2016 or for the steady draining away of support from people who do not want to be associated with the open hatred of people like Maxine Waters. But they do understand and they have proven that they understand by producing a deceptive new ad campaign.
The purpose of this article is to warn our readers about this new Democrat tactic. It is an effort to regain the support of people they hate. It is a dangerous lie, and if voters are not wise enough to see through the deception, we may yet lose the country to the wretched spirit that animates ghouls like Hillary Clinton.
Their new flagship advertisement is called “Built not Bought.” It is a four-minute-long mood piece full of seemingly pro-American, pro-worker, pro-family rhetoric with a lot of long shots of people moving confidently in slow motion and a great deal of reassuring music. During the first minute, people in the know will begin to worry that the Democrats have hit on a key lie that just might win them the power they crave. But about halfway through the ad, you begin to realize that all of the slogans are meaningless. They have created a series of patriotic sounding talking points and simply play them one after the other.
Because we know the history of the Democrats so well, we were able to see through their new tactic and recognize it for the insincere slop that it is. But someone less familiar with leftist bloodymindedness might be swayed by it.
They are very proud of their new tactic and celebrate it unreservedly. On the website for the ad, they describe it as follows:
“’Built Not Bought’ is the cornerstone of a new initiative that answers the question: What do Democrats Stand For?”
The short film celebrates the singular importance of working people in the creation of modern America while calling out the big-donor influences that have eroded our democratic institutions over the past few decades. It is a patriotic, optimistic, solutions-oriented affirmation of core American values — decency, fair-play, the belief in a boundless future — that seem too often forgotten in our partisan era. It is a call to action, to build a future that is just and free, full of hope and opportunity.”
Lest we forget: the Democratic Party is the party of slavery. They poisoned the black community by selling them fear and victimhood, and by prodding them on with the specter of the imaginary southern white plantation owner who wants them in chains. Now, they intend to do the same to the working class who have been sufficiently weakened to control with fear. The boogie man they have waiting in the wings is “big-donor influences.”
It’s ironic because Hillary was funded by foreign caliphates who expected her to drive America away from its own interests. By contrast, Donald Trump was funded by his own massive success as a business man.
This ad shows that the left now knows why it failed in 2016. That knowledge has given them the ability to craft a powerful new lie. If we are not vigilant, and remember that they are responsible for the gutting of America, this new ad campaign could destroy everything the MAGA movement has accomplished.
