Under the guise of “fighting climate change” the increasingly authoritarian Democrats continue to show how absolutely insane they are, now calling for Americans to be JAILED for using gas-powered landscaping tools like lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and edgers – you’ve got to be kidding me!
In Washington State, Democrat lawmaker Rep. Amy Walen pre-filed legislation which would radically ban “gasoline-powered and diesel-powered landscaping and other outdoor power equipment” for “contributing to climate change.”
This may be starting out in Washington State but we all know how much the left loves to test out their national policies in the more liberal states to see how much they can get away with, meaning that a federal ban on gas-powered lawn equipment is right around the corner, particular if Joe Biden gets re-elected and becomes a lame duck president next year.
Walen’s legislation goes beyond “climate change” to argue that these tools are “bad for people’s health.”
But perhaps most concerning is how exactly the bill seeks to enforce this ban, which is by empowering the Department of Ecology to “adopt rules to prohibit engine exhaust and evaporative emissions from new outdoor power equipment” by either January 1, 2026 or sooner, if the state determines it’s feasible to do so earlier.
Residents of the state are forced to upgrade their equipment to more expensive and less efficient zero-emission alternatives – but government work is exempt in part from these restrictions.
Anybody found to be in violation of this new law would face up to a year in jail on top of a hefty fine, just for doing something as simple as using a gas-powered lawnmower to cut your grass.
This has got to be some kind of dystopian nightmare!
Ironically enough, this move being pushed by those same leftists who pretend to be so obsessed with “equity” would harm minorities the most.
Nationwide data shows that 22.8% of landscaping companies are owned by Hispanics and 14.7% are owned by blacks. These small business owners would be FORCED to shell out thousands of dollars to transition to the zero-emission alternatives at a time when most small businesses simply don’t have it.
“Commercial-grade electric-powered gear can cost anywhere from 15% to 300% more upfront, before factoring in the cost of batteries, chargers and potential electrical upgrades needed to keep them running all day,” according to the Orange County Register.
Again, failure to comply would land people in JAIL!
We’re on the verge of living in a Democrat clown world where something like using gas powered lawn equipment is an offense worthy of a jail-sentence, but things like violent crime and theft will earn criminals a simple slap on the wrist before returning them to the streets to commit those same crimes once again.

The “best” way to cut ICE emissions is get everyone to plant “low methane grass,” & keep a small herd of goats or sheep to cut the grass cut down.

Climate change is just another way the Communist Democrats gain control over us. Americans have gotten to complacent with 200 years of real Democracy. People don’t even vote at local level elections anymore and if they do they don’t look at candidates for who and what they stand for. The total amount of USA emissions fron ALL gas powered devices (cars, trucks, trains, planes, etc.) is 0.08% of the global pollutants. That’s 8 parts out of 10,000 !!! MEANWHILE…..the two countries with the greates amount of additions to the global problem (India and China) with 88% +/- haven’t signed the U.N.’s climate change agreement !!!
