In the wake of the of the school shooting that took place earlier this week at Apalachee High School in Georgia, the Democrats have jumped to try and use this shooting for their own political gain.
And in what has become another norm for the Democrats these days, they’re spreading BLATANT lies to make it seem like Conservatives want school shootings to happen.
The left-wing propagandists over at the Associated Press posted a headline which deliberately misquoted GOP Vice Presidential Candidate J.D. Vance with the ultimate goal of giving the Democrats more political ammunition heading into the 2024 election.
During a speech in Arizona, Vance condemned the school shooting and said “If these psychos are going to go after our kids we’ve got to be prepared for it. We don’t have to like the reality that we live in, but it is the reality we live in. We’ve got to deal with it.”
“I don’t like that this is a fact of life,” Vance continued. “But if you are a psycho and you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets. And we have got to bolster security so if a psycho wants to walk through the front door and kill a bunch of children they’re not able.”
But the AP decided to use just a snippet of Vance’s quote and blatantly lie about what he said.
AP ran a story on his remarks, using the headline “JD Vance says school shootings are a ‘fact of life,’ calls for better security.”
Eventually, AP was forced to delete it after receiving massive backlash for their blatant lie.
But even after deleting it, their “corrected” headline wasn’t exactly much better, saying, “JD Vance says he laments that school shootings are a “fact of life” and says the U.S. needs to harden security to prevent more carnage like the shooting this week that left four dead in Georgia.”
The original fake headline garnered 2.5 million views on X before it was deleted and several Democrats happily went along with AP’s lie.
The campaign for Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris posted a misleading clip of Vance speaking and also claimed that he called school shooting a “fact of life” to “attack common sense gun safety reform.”
Her running mate, the radical Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, also shared this clip with a caption that says, “This is pathetic. We can’t quit on our kids — they deserve better.”
After that, Kamala’s team just kept piling on more lies – looking to seize on the school shooting to squeeze out every last drop of political propaganda.
Harris’ campaign issued a statement on Vance’s comments, saying “Yesterday, Vice President Harris said ‘it doesn’t have to be this way’ in response to another senseless school shooting. Donald Trump and JD Vance think school shootings are a ‘fact of life’ and ‘we have to get over it.’
“Vice President Harris and Governor Walz know,” the statement from campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa read, “we can take action to keep our children safe and keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Donald Trump and JD Vance will always choose the NRA and gun lobby over our children. That is the choice in this election.”
The shooter in Georgia was a 14 year-old who could not have LEGALLY purchased a gun so this line about keeping guns “out of the hands of criminals” doesn’t even make sense.
On top of that, it’s THE DEMOCRATS who are choosing to use the two dead children and two dead teachers to advance their political agenda, and even worse, using blatant lies to do so.
The real choice in this election is between the people who want to keep our keeps safe with real solutions (Republicans) and people who PRETEND that they want to keep our kids safe as part of some sick political theatre (Democrats).
