The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has uncovered that the federal government somehow managed to make $4.7 trillion vanish.
Yes, that’s trillion…with a T.
DOGE revealed in a post on X that the federal government has rather conveniently sent $4.7 trillion into an untraceable blackhole.
Where the hell is our money going?
DOGE explained that the Treasury uses an identification code known as the Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) to link payments to a budget line item. But many of these payments, the thieves in our government INTENTIONALLY left the TAS blank – making roughly $4.7 trillion worth of payments “almost untraceable.”
“The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (standard financial process),” DOGE explained.
“In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible. As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going. Thanks to US Treasury for the great work,” DOGE said.

This is the same federal government who will send the IRS to audit working class Americans in order to make sure they collect every last penny that they can. And if you don’t pay, they’ll lock you up and throw away the key.
But for the federal government, “losing” $4.7 trillion of those tax dollars is just another day at the office!
Ironically enough, the federal collected $4.7 trillion in tax revenue during fiscal year 2023 – which means they’ve tossed an entire years’ worth of tax revenue into a blackhole…
Really makes you mad writing that tax check to the government this year, am I right?
Some might argue that this shows the level of incompetence that has become normal within our government, but I for one, think it shows the level of GREED.
You don’t just “lose” $4.7 trillion when your entire job is to make payments and keep track of where that money has gone…
THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY.
There’s a reason that the Democrats threw such a hissy fit when Elon Musk first announced that his DOGE team would be investigating the Treasury Department’s payment records.
Establishment Democrats took to the streets to call for violence against Musk and the Trump administration as a whole, trying to get what little supporters they have left to start a violent uprising against the Trump team who is exposing fraudulent government spending.
When that didn’t work, they activated several activists posing as federal judges to issue rulings preventing DOGE from gaining access to the VERY incriminating treasury payment systems.
They even pushed a bill in the House of Representatives (which never stood a chance) to prevent DOGE from accessing Treasury records, accusing the Trump administration of carrying out an “economic coup.”

Funny enough, I would say that the mysteriously “lost” $4.7 trillion is the REAL economic coup and the D.C. swamp creatures behind it NEED to be held accountable. This can never happen again.
