As everyday Americans question President Joe Biden’s ability to complete a four-year term, it’s abundantly clear a changing of the guard will take place in 2024. The conventional wisdom is that former President Donald Trump remains on the fence about running. But the GOP has an alpha waiting in the wings who could defeat any Democrat the left puts forward.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to demonstrate through his actions he possesses the prowess to win and lead the country. The biased liberal media has already launched fake and misleading attacks against the rising conservative star. His successful pandemic management plan, recent executive actions, and signing of an anti-riot law have Governor DeSantis positioned for higher office.
“It is the strongest anti-rioting, pro-law enforcement piece of legislation in the country. There’s just nothing even close,” DeSantis said. “What our bill says, and what I’ll sign into law today, is that if you’re derelict in your duty as a local government, if you tell law enforcement to stand down, then you’re responsible for the damage that ensues. And if someone’s been harmed, or their property has been destroyed, then they can sue you for compensation.”
Democrat mayors in Florida will now be prevented from joining radicals who want to defund or eliminate police departments. Following the death of George Floyd, while being arrested in Minnesota, Democrats such as Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib pushed a Black Lives Matter agenda to hamstring law enforcement. Cities such as New York, San Francisco, and other liberal strongholds slashed police budgets to punish them for an incident that occurred in Minnesota.
The resulting violence from left-wing street thugs that included Antifa destroyed, burned, and looted locally-owned businesses. Police continue to get attacked as citizens are assaulted and murdered. Still, Democrats and their conspirators in the establishment media call the violence “peaceful protests.” Nothing could be further from the truth.
“As we saw last summer, some of the local governments are actually telling, not necessarily in Florida but throughout the country, basically telling these folks to stand down, telling police to stand down while cities burnt, while businesses were burnt, while people were being harmed,” DeSantis reportedly said. “That’s a dereliction of duty.”
Governor DeSantis demonstrated he has the right stuff to lead the nation back from the brink when his smartly thought-out policies protected our valued elders in nursing homes. The Republican followed the true science that indicated lockdown may increase the spread of the virus while also escalating drug and alcohol abuse, as well as suicides. Florida reopened based on facts and Dr. Fauci continues to waffle over DeSantis’ success that flies in the face of doubling and tripling of masks.
In recent weeks, Florida pushed back on Joe Biden’s border chaos and return to Obama-era catch-and-release. DeSantis had signs posted along roads and highways where people enter the state that says “Florida Uses E-Verify.” The move is designed to deter illegal immigrants from thinking it’s a sanctuary, or they can undermine blue-collar wages.
Since Governor DeSantis came in second only to Trump in the Conservative Political Action Conference straw poll, his growing reputation as an America First leader swells. Many see the GOP strongman as standard-bearer to carry the Make America Great Again agenda forward, with less controversial tweets.
