Fox News Still Hasn’t Fired Tucker Carlson, And They Likely Won’t Anytime Soon to Keep Him Off the Air

How are your Tucker Carlson withdrawals going? My skin is not itchy, and I’m not seeing spiders crawling up and down the walls, but I do feel a certain sense of unease every weeknight at 8 p.m. EST.

I’ll be doing something useful with my time and then I’ll start glancing at the clock and over to my television and back again. “Should I turn it on,” I wonder, knowing full well that he won’t be there—at least not for the immediate future.

What am I supposed to do with all this free time on my hands now?

For those of us who are “news junkies,” Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News was our main fix. Tucker has been the lone voice of sanity in a TV news industry that has become a festering plague of lies, government propaganda, and character assassination. He’s been like a breath of fresh air for the past seven years, and every night, my wife and children and I have welcomed him into the living room of our home to inform and entertain him.

Fox News’ stock value has lost $962 million since last Monday. The decision to fire Tucker Carlson wasn’t about money, obviously, anymore than Bud Light’s decision to tranny up its beer cans was about money. It was about silencing truth and goodness.

Tucker was being paid $20 million per year by Fox, so it’s not like they were losing money from having him on the air. The way that viewers, sponsors and market value have fled from Fox shows that they could have been paying him much more and still profiting handsomely from his presence.

Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News host, thinks that Tucker is still under contract with Fox News. His contract runs through December of 2024, so if they keep paying him and don’t actually fire him, that would be a way to effectively silence him until after next year’s critical presidential election. (That’s what this is all really about in the end. Stopping Carlson is about stopping President Trump’s triumphant reelection.)

Tucker tweeted a 2-minute video message to his followers on Wednesday night, after spending a couple of days relaxing in silence. The Daily Mail spotted him headed to dinner with his wife of 32 years on the beach in Florida. They both looked happy, chipper and relaxed, and he told a reporter it was the first time he’d had dinner with his wife on a weeknight in seven years.

So, the video message was the first thing we really heard from Tucker, after he huddled all day with his producer Justin Wells. One thing that a lot of people may not realize is that Fox News did not simply fire Tucker Carlson. Everyone on his staff is also out of a job, since Tucker is off the air. Tucker’s loyalty to those employees will likely play a factor in whatever he decides to do next.

The video message that Tucker tweeted itself was a bit cryptic. Delivered from his home studio, Tucker was in a sharp new suit and had a copy of the US Constitution on the wall behind him. He talked about how great America is and how decent its people are, and closed with a simple “See you soon.”

During Tucker’s timeslot on Wednesday night, the bubblehead who has temporarily replaced him drew 1,704,000 viewers. Chris Hayes on MSNBC had 1,449,000, and the gay CIA guy on CNN drew 678,000.

Fox News viewership has cratered by 56% by taking Tucker Carlson off the air. Congrats, Fox News. You just lost HALF your business.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson’s tweet that he sent out at that same time has been viewed 74.1 million times, as of this writing. 1.7 million versus 74.1 million. That’s… quite a discrepancy. It makes you wonder if Tucker’s ratings were not rigged by Nielson’s, if he can send out a single tweet and catch 74 million sets of eyeballs.

Would you put it past The System to rig Tucker’s ratings, and make him look like he has a smaller audience than he really does? We’re not worried about Tucker Carlson, because we know he’ll land on his feet and be bigger than ever once he does. The people who silenced him are the ones who should be worried.

  2. I voted twice for Donald Trump but it was mostly a negative vote against Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, both of whom were less fit to be President than Tump.
I will vote against Biden and for any other choice I have, even if reluctantly, because Biden is without doubt the worst president the US has ever had. I hope we are all alive in 2024 because Biden has put us closer to an Armageddon with both China and Russia, who regard him as a bad joke on the US. God save the US!

  3. I started binge watching The Chosen & I’ll pick something else binge worthy until Tucker either returns or does something else. I only watched the following programs because they were on after TCT & there is nothing else of real value on any of the other channels.

  4. WOW — WHAT A TRAVESTY FOR TUCKER. SEEMS THERE IS NO END TO THE EVIL AND DISHONESTY THAT HAS PERVADED MOST MEDIA. I WONDER WHO GOT TO MURDOCH AND HIS FAMILY OR WHAT IS SOMEONE HOLDING AGAINST THE MURDOCHS THAT THIS HAPPENED TO TUCKER. HOW COULD THEY NOT KNOW THAT KEEPING HIM OFF THE AIR WOULD DESTROY FOX TOTALLY. BUT WAS THAT THE PLAN ALL ALONG? TO DESTROY FOX IN ITS ENTIRETY?

    • It a[peared from the beginning that the ousting off Carlson was a REPEAT of 2020 when all logical minds were SILENCED, and we got an =occasional peep at Biden peeking out his basement window while the DEEP STSTE kept on churning assuring him the White House without a doubt.
Does anyone find themselves with the urge to peek behind the TV screen, ala 1984 version to see WHO is eavesdropping on what you are watching or even saying in the privacy of your home?

Make no mistake about it, we are ALL being monitored right down to our eating habits.

  6. the fireing of tucker carleson and the release of dan bongino and their apparent acceptance of the disney attempt to destroy childhood moral values among many other recent things have caused me to seek newsmax and ntd as my primary news sources. nerwsmax is hard to get as i dont have cable tv but i can get it. fox was an excellent conservative news source but no longer.

  7. If you have listened to Tucker over the past year you may notice he was bolder and spoke clearly about good verses evil. No coincidence that he spoke at the 50th Heritage foundation…and made it clear that in the end GOOD always wins Love wins.
In Feburary Edward Dowd on fox nation made a comment stating he asked God to use him and Tucker responded AMEN, which means I agree. God know’s what’s next and if Tucker is true to his previous game he will honor that comment that he said amen to and be used for good. As he often says to his guests ” Godspeed” yes, may God use you for HIS good Tucker.

  8. I cannot force myself to watch Fox since they did such a huge error firing Tucker Carlson as well as Dan Bongeno leaving the same week. Possibly this network will fade from the screen sooner than later.
Tucker was always like a breath of fresh air on a daily basis. Sure miss his amazing personality as well as his interesting topics/people. Pray all will go well for Tucker and his family.

  9. Murdoch is too old like Biden to make a right decision and his bad karma is destroying his empire. Presently, good vs evil is playing itself out in our country instigated by those who want to put an end to anything good in the US. Tucker we need you to continue being the voice for good and bring the truth to light. Everything happens for a reason and you have greater objectives to be part of in the name of Freedom!

  11. Fantastic work, Mike. Since I currently make more than $36,000 each month from just one simple web business, I commend your efforts. Despite the fact that these are the most basic internet operations occupations, you nd-05 may start making a reliable online income with as little as $29,000.
