John Rudat is a brave young man from New York City. At just 21 years old, he found himself in a situation no one should ever have to face. While on vacation in Germany, he stepped in to protect two women who were being harassed and attacked on public transportation. For his courage, he was stabbed in the face by a violent migrant. The blade was six inches long. He was left bloodied and scarred. And yet, the man who attacked him has not been brought to justice.
This horrifying event took place in Dresden, a city in what was once East Germany. Rudat, who is not only a model but also a paramedic, acted on instinct to protect the innocent. What happened next exposed a deeper problem—one that Germany, and much of Europe, has been struggling with for years.
The attacker was not a first-time criminal. He was a known illegal immigrant, a drug dealer, and had already been arrested several times for attacking women. Yet he remained free. Time and again, he was released back onto the streets, where he could continue his campaign of terror—until he finally turned his knife on an American tourist.
That tourist, Mr. Rudat, is now speaking out. He didn’t attack the man’s background or race. He simply pointed to a broken system. “If Germans are held to that law and that structure,” he asked, “but these people can just come in, swing knives, and hurt, abuse, terrorize, and oppress citizens of Germany, then what do we do?”
That is the question every honest citizen should be asking.
The answer, sadly, is that the globalist policies pushed by left-wing elites have left Western nations vulnerable. They have welcomed large numbers of migrants from unstable regions without making sure those people share our values or follow our laws. In places like Germany, Sweden, and even parts of the United States, violent crime has followed. Women are no longer safe to walk the streets alone. And when brave men like John Rudat stand up to defend them, they are the ones who suffer.
Even worse, justice is denied. One of the attackers was arrested, but prosecutors quickly released him, saying there was “not enough evidence” to hold him. The man believed to have actually used the knife is still on the run. This is not law and order. This is chaos.
Our ancestors built nations of peace, law, and tradition. They believed in protecting the weak and punishing the wicked. But today’s leaders, especially in Europe, have abandoned that duty. They bow to political correctness. They fear being called names more than they fear seeing their own people stabbed in the streets. That is not leadership. That is cowardice.
America must learn from this. President Trump has already taken strong steps to secure our borders and protect our citizens. He understands that a nation without borders is a nation without safety. But we must remain vigilant. The same forces that have torn Europe apart are active here at home. They want open borders, weak police, and endless excuses for violent criminals.
We cannot let that happen. We must stand up, like John Rudat did. We must protect our women, our children, and our communities. We must demand that our laws apply to everyone—citizen or foreigner, rich or poor. And we must never be afraid to speak the truth, no matter how unpopular it may be.
Rudat’s wounds will heal. But the deeper wound—what is happening to the West—will only heal if we return to our roots. To law, to order, to honor, and to faith. Let this young man’s courage be a reminder to us all: the time to act is now. Our civilization depends on it.
