President Donald Trump accomplished what both his predecessors were unable — winning the ground war on terror in the Middle East.
He completed the military mission by fully unleashing the most powerful fighting force in history — the U.S. military. He did it by empowering America’s generals and soldiers to do their job. President Trump led from the front with the singular determined goal of defeating ISIS. Mission accomplished.
“It’s the first time since we’ve been here in Syria for five days that the bombs have stopped dropping and the gunfire has disappeared,” a Fox news reporter at the scene stated. “We have witnessed the end of the caliphate – the brutal empire that once ruled over 8 million people – is gone.”
Despite the fake news media’s denials that the ISIS caliphate has fallen, American-backed forces stripped the black and white jihadists’ flags from their final stronghold in Syria.
“So, what happens is this is all ISIS,” Trump said holding up a before and after map. “Now on the bottom, that’s as of today. This is ISIS, there’s none. The caliphate is gone, as of tonight. Pretty good. That’s pretty good, right?”
Although fleeing insurgents will need to be hunted down, the terror organization no longer controls any lands on the planet. They will run, hide, and conspire to do violence against innocents. But the state of their bloodthirsty jihad has been sent back to before the 9-11 attacks in 2001.
More than 8 million people lived and died under ISIS rule since the unholy alliance of radical Islamic terrorists formed an army to capture and control land that rivaled the size of England. The extremists filled a leadership vacuum caused by the premature retreat of former President Barack Obama. The failed administration bowed and scraped to the will of lesser nations and put popularity polls ahead of human lives.
The War on Terror that America should have handily won early in Obama’s first term lingered for more than 17 years, all told. Adding insult to injury, when American-led coalition forces put siege to the ISIS-held city of Mosul, Obama cut a deal that allowed upwards of 9,000 jihadists to escape in a massive caravan across the desert. Yes — Obama negotiated with terrorists for his own political gain.
Despite the military’s objection that these terrorists would join up with others in Syria to strengthen regiments and subject civilians to horrors, Obama had our military stand down. According to Human Rights Watch, ISIS fighters wounded or killed civilians who refused to act as human shields during their Mosul retreat.
“The bullets came from the ISIS side, they were definitely from ISIS,” one woman reportedly said. “We were carrying a white flag, and we think it made us targets. We stayed there for two to three hours — bleeding — until the counter-terrorism forces could come for us.”
Other witnesses detailed at least 10 mortar attacks, three suicide bombing and ISIS snipers firing on civilians who waited for coalition forces during the Obama-sanctioned withdrawal. Although the complicit mainstream media showed Obama taking credit for liberating Mosul, the truth is that he allowed 9,000 fighters to fight another day.
In November 2016, America didn’t just elect a new president to reverse the failed Obama policy of leading from behind — voters put someone in the White House who would eradicate the enemy. Newly-elected President Trump tapped Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis, and compelled him to untie the hands of America’s armed forces and finally conduct a proper war.
In a complete 180-degree reversal, high-ranking military leadership posted determined threats on social media that ISIS could either surrender, be shot dead or bludgeoned to death. It was their choice. The politically incorrect tone wasn’t just big words. Then-Secretary Mattis advised that coalition forces surround and “annihilate” all insurgents.
The aggressive strategy cut off escape routes and under President Trump’s direction retreat was off the table. Jihadists would no longer be allowed to fight another day. The hard-nosed policy meant unseating ISIS fighters who had years to dig into cities, villages and small enclaves.
The fact that rabble such as ISIS could hold sway over vast lands in the Middle East for more than four years is a stain on Obama that can never be cleansed. The fact that President Trump swiftly crushed the caliphate shows America needs people who lead from the front.
