A disturbing image has been making the rounds in New York City recently. It depicts Santa Claus standing next to a case of dynamite and gazing threateningly into a crowd of holiday revelers in New York City’s Times Square.
The image is currently being spread by ISIS supporters and contains the caption, “We meet at Christmas in New York . . . soon.”
This foreboding image was also shared by the Daily Mail last week with a note that the warning is thematically similar to many others which have preceded the Holiday terrorist attacks in Europe. If this sentiment is accurate, then it could indicate that there are terrorist groups now operating in the United States who have recently arrived, and are currently preparing to act out attacks at an all new level and frequency.
Furthermore, the Daily Mail claims that terrorist groups have a history of using posters similar to this one to transmit encoded messages between members.
On the same day the poster was reported on in the Daily Mail, a message posted at the Vatican sent a chilling message to terrorists; another poster in St. Peter’s Square which read, “Do not hold back with your blood, the reward is paradise.”
But this wave of Christmas-related threats is similar to a wave of such threats going back several years now.
In 2016, an official media affiliate of the Islamic State, Al-Furat Media Foundation released a video which portrayed a suicide bomb attack in Times Square. The video opened with the tagline “USA,” as if to indicate that the United States would be the location of the attack. The tagline also suggests that this is one in a series of similar videos which depict terrorist violence in different locations around the world. It opens with a series of shots of a person assembling an explosive device for use with a suicide vest, and then dressing to conceal the explosive undergarment. The person in the video is wearing a watch which is highlighted and reads 9:25.
The same month that video was released, a criminal complaint was made stating one Mohamed Rafik Naji, a legal immigrant to the US and a Yemeni citizen, had been preparing a plan to conduct a truck attack in the fashion of the attack in Nice.
Naji later went on record telling the FBI, “They want an operation in Times Square, a reconnaissance group already put out a scene, the Islamic State already put up scenes of Times Square, you understand. I said that was an indication for whoever is smart to know.”
Just last month, a US citizen, a Canadian citizen, and a Philippine citizen living in Pakistan were arrested on charges of conspiring to attack New York by “detonating bombs in Times Square and the New York City subway system, and shooting civilians at specific concert venues.”
Federal officials related a small part of one of the intercepted messages in which one of the conspirators said, “We seriously need a car bomb at times square. Look at these crowds of people!”
These seemingly disparate events are dots in a larger picture in which intelligence agencies and terrorist organizations are actively engaged in an information war. The terrorists are racing to organize complex and devastating attacks against civilians while law enforcement agencies struggle to keep up – and all of this is happening before a backdrop where 50% or more of our government is doing its best to import as many immigrants from Islamic countries as fast as they possibly can.
You couldn’t find a clearer example than the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton herself overseeing the removal from power and murder of Muammar Gaddafi — who explicitly sent a warning to western powers that if he was removed from power, hordes of violent immigrants would flood western countries.
It would appear that our government wanted precisely that since Gaddafi was killed during a visit by none other than Hillary Clinton herself. And we will never forget the deeply disturbing interview footage of her in which she laughingly declared, “We came, we saw… he died!”
In light of all this preventable violence, we would do well to remember the words of Albert Pike (1809 – 1891), “We control Islam, and we will use it to destroy the West.”
