Leadership within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been caught out putting pressure on agents to reclassify cases as “domestic violent extremism” in order to kowtow to the Biden administration and the woke agenda that it is pushing.
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan (Ohio), a top House Judiciary Committee member, sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, claiming that “whistleblowers” have come forward about “disturbing conduct” within the agency.
“From recent protected disclosures, we have learned that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification,” writes Jordan.
“Given the narrative pushed by the Biden administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous.”
Jordan added that given the manipulation of data that has been outed by the whistleblowers, the Biden administration’s characterization of domestic extremism as America’s greatest threat is “misleading.”
“We have received accusations that FBI agents are bolstering the number of cases of DVEs to satisfy their superiors. For example, one whistleblower explained that because agents are not finding enough DVE cases, they are encouraged and incentivized to reclassify cases as DVE cases even though there is minimal, circumstantial evidence to support the reclassification,” states Jordan.
“Another whistleblower—who led at least one high profile domestic terrorism investigation—stated that a field office Counterterrorism Assistant Special Agent in Charge and the FBI’s Director of the Counterterrorism Division have pressured agents to move cases into the DVE category to hit self-created performance metrics. According to whistleblowers, the FBI uses these metrics to dispense awards and promotions. Every whistleblower has called it an environment of ‘pressure’ within the FBI,” says the letter to Wray.
“It appears instead that the FBI is more focused on classifying investigations to meet a woke left-wing agenda,” concludes Jordan.
Last year, the Biden administration’s Department of Justice launched a national strategy to address violent extremism, stating that “white supremacy” and “militia violent extremists” present the “most persistent and lethal threats” to the United States.
In recent reports, the FBI whistleblowers told the House Judiciary Committee that Hunter Biden’s laptop, which chronicled his criminal activities, was labeled as “Russian disinformation” by the FBI, in order to cover up his crimes prior to the 2020 Presidential Election.
The whistleblowers added that some of the same people behind the Hunter Biden laptop coverup, were also involved in the investigation into former President Donald Trump and the “Russian collusion” he was allegedly involved in that turned out to be fake.
The Democrats have obviously installed their lackeys in the intelligence community and agencies that are meant to protect Americans, not harm them. Joe Biden, his administration and all of the Democrats who wantonly go along with destroying the lives of Americans, are the greatest threat to America in 2022.
