It’s no secret that Joe Biden has spent the last four years attacking America’s domestic energy industries. And while we all had renewed hope that President-elect Donald Trump would be able to reverse all of Biden’s non-sensical energy policies, Joe just pulled one final stunt to completely sabotage the incoming administration’s plans.
The delusional “green new deal” loving Democrats have had it out for the oil and gas industry, so Biden’s orders have been to advance that radical climate agenda—no matter what it may cost Americans.
To achieve this, Biden has effectively eliminated America’s ability to produce its own oil and gas. Democrats have pretended for the last four years that this energy capacity was being replaced by “clean” energy, but in reality they were just swapping domestic oil for foreign oil from countries who hate us like Venezuela and Iran.
This scheme of theirs was, disgusting, yes, but easy enough for Trump to undo – until Biden’s newest executive order from earlier this week.
On Monday, two weeks before he’s forced out of office, President Biden issued an executive order banning new oil and gas projects across 625 million acres of ocean. This order banned drilling across the East and West Coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Bering Sea.
This order bans all oil and gas leases in federal waters INDEFINITELY.
Trump responded to the absurd order by calling it “ridiculous” and promising to “unban it immediately” but here’s where the Biden sabotage part comes into play.
Biden’s order uses the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act which means that it is afforded some unique protections that cannot simply be undone Trump reversing the order.
This particular law from 1953 “included a provision giving presidents wide discretion to permanently protect waters from leasing, but it didn’t explicitly grant them the authority to undo those designations,” Bloomberg reported.
“Though presidents have modified decisions from their predecessors to exempt areas from oil leasing, courts have never validated a complete reversal.”
In 2019, President Trump attempted to undo protections implemented under the law by former President Barack Obama and a federal judge REJECTED his efforts.
In other words, Biden’s masters had him use this particular law in his executive order to make it as hard as possible for President Trump to undo it because Democrats are hoping that their horrendous policies will continue to destroy America well into Trump’s presidency!
This means that the only way for President Trump to undo this order would be via congress and while Republicans may have a majority we’ve seen in the past how even a Republican controlled Congress can get in the way of Trump’s plans for America.
Democrats have spent the last four years using a senile Joe Biden to cripple the country as much as they possibly could, but evidently their bloodlust has not been satisfied.
