Well, folks, here we go again. The left just can’t help themselves. When they’re not trying to rewrite history, they’re trying to erase it altogether. This time, it’s Joy Reid, the former MSNBC host who’s now shouting into the void of fringe podcasts, questioning whether the attempt on President Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, ever happened.
Yes, you read that right. Despite video footage, eyewitnesses, law enforcement reports, and a heroic American losing his life, Reid thinks the whole thing might have been staged. She even mocked the president’s ear injury, saying his ear “grew back” and called the doctors who treated him “magical.” That’s not commentary, folks—that’s delusion.
Let’s be clear about what actually happened. On July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally in Butler, a shooter opened fire on President Trump. He was hit in the ear. Corey Comperatore, a local fire chief and patriot, was shot and killed while protecting his family. Two others were injured. This wasn’t a movie. It wasn’t a stunt. It was an attempted assassination of a sitting president.
But Joy Reid doesn’t buy it. Why? Because, apparently, in her world, if the media isn’t spoon-feeding her every medical document and autopsy report on live television, then it must not be real. She compared this attack to the deaths of Presidents Kennedy and McKinley, saying she knows more about those than what happened to Trump. Maybe that’s because she refuses to accept the facts right in front of her.
And let’s not forget—this isn’t some random Twitter user spouting nonsense. This is a former mainstream media figure. Someone who used to host a primetime cable news show. And yet here she is, mocking a wounded president and downplaying the death of a brave man who gave his life to protect his family. That’s not journalism. That’s ideological rot.
Corey Comperatore was a husband, a father, and a public servant. His death was a tragedy. He is a hero. And instead of honoring his sacrifice, Reid is busy spinning conspiracy theories for clicks. Her comments are not only disrespectful—they’re dangerous. They undermine the seriousness of political violence and insult every American who was affected by that day’s events.
Let’s call this what it is: another desperate attempt by a leftist media personality to delegitimize President Trump and the MAGA movement. They did it with Russia. They did it with impeachment. Now they’re doing it with an assassination attempt. The facts don’t matter to them. The truth doesn’t matter. All that matters is the narrative.
Thankfully, most Americans know better. We saw the footage. We heard President Trump speak about the attack. We mourned Corey Comperatore. And we understood what it meant—a direct assault on the will of the American people and the man they chose to lead.
For Reid and her podcast pals to push this nonsense is beyond irresponsible. It’s shameful. And it’s yet another example of how far the left is willing to go to smear anyone who stands in their way.
But here’s the good news: they’re losing. President Trump is stronger than ever. The MAGA movement is alive and well. And no amount of lies, spin, or lunacy from the likes of Joy Reid will stop the American people from fighting for truth, faith, and freedom.
We remember what happened in Butler. We honor those who were there. And we will never let the radical left rewrite our history. Not now. Not ever.
Thankfully Megyn Kelly has the perfect response to Joy Reid pushing this discredited conspiracy theory:
