Judge Finally Releases Jeffrey Epstein Court Docs from His 2006 Trial

A Florida judge made the surprise move of publicly releasing the grand jury files from Jeffrey Epstein’s 2006 criminal trial on Monday. It’s been almost 20 years since Epstein’s first trial and the public hasn’t been able to see these documents until now.

The first thing you should know is that there are no names released here. If that’s what you were hoping for, it still hasn’t happened.

What the docs do reveal to us, however, is the incredible power that the people behind Jeffrey Epstein seemingly wield. “They” rigged a grand jury proceeding in 2006 to get Epstein off with a slap on the wrist.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation back in February that would allow Circuit Judge Luis Delgado to release the grand jury transcripts starting on July 1st or any date after that. A hearing was scheduled for next week on what the manner of the release would look like, but Judge Delgado surprised everyone by releasing the full 150 pages on Monday.

“The details in the record will be outrageous to decent people,” Delgado wrote in the court order.

That’s an understatement. The judge isn’t just talking about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, however. He was talking about the behavior of the Palm Beach County prosecutors who were supposed to be trying to put Epstein in prison.

“The testimony taken by the Grand Jury concerns activity ranging from grossly unacceptable to rape — all of the conduct at issue is sexually deviant, disgusting, and criminal,” Delgado continued.

Instead of aggressively trying to indict Jeffrey Epstein for sex trafficking children, the Palm Beach County prosecutors worked to sabotage their own case against him.

Prosecutors Lanna Belohlavek and Mary Ann Duggan attacked Epstein’s victims on the witness stand. That’s not how a grand jury proceeding is supposed to work.

Prosecutors don’t have to present any sort of exonerating evidence to the grand jury. The purpose of the proceeding is to determine whether they have enough evidence to indict a suspect and put them on trial. The judge was correct in his assessment. It’s outrageous that the prosecutors went out of their way to attack Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking victims.

The state attorneys who should have been trying to throw the book at Jeffrey Epstein instead painted his child sex trafficking victims as if they were a bunch of drunken whores working on the Las Vegas Strip.

Here’s an excerpt from the transcript:

Prosecutor Belohlavek: “You aware that you committed a crime?”

Child Victim: “Now I am. I didn’t know it was a crime when I was doing it. Like, I – I didn’t know. Now I – I guess it’s prostitution or something like that.”

Just to be clear, this girl was 14 when she was raped at Jeffrey Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion. 14-year-old girls like to pretend that they’re mature, but every parent knows the truth. Girls that age are barely past the playing-with-dollhouses stage.

Amazingly, one of the grand jurors then stepped in and started questioning the child’s morals. The juror also lectured the child about how her actions were damaging her reputation.

That is simply stunning. Did the people backing Jeffrey Epstein manage to plant a ringer on the grand jury, who would undermine the case against him? The juror basically accused Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex slaves of being a bunch of degenerate sex criminals themselves. That’s how the prosecutors ultimately treated the case as well.

Palm Beach County police had enough evidence and were so disgusted by Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes—some of which involved girls as young as 11—that they wanted him locked up for life. That’s what they recommended to the prosecutors.

Instead, the prosecutors ended up indicting Jeffrey Epstein on a single count of soliciting prostitution. That’s what you would charge a “john” with when he solicits an adult prostitute.

Epstein ended up spending 13 months in jail, but he was allowed to leave six days a week for 12 hours at a time on work release. This means that in total, he spent only 56 full days in jail the first time he was arrested.

After he was released, Epstein went on to traffic, molest, and rape as many as 500 additional child victims. Despite that huge number of victims, we still don’t know who Epstein was trafficking the girls to after all these years. They must be extremely powerful people, however, if they were able to rig a grand jury proceeding and later murder Jeffrey Epstein in his jail cell.
