Jurors Urged to Ignore Autopsy Findings in George Floyd Case

Last May, as you well know, George Floyd died tragically after officer Derek Chauvin allegedly knelt on Floyd’s neck for an excessive amount of time. When the incident hit the news, conservatives and liberals alike condemned the actions of the officer if he had actually behaved in the way he was reported to have behaved.

Today, Chauvin is on trial for his actions, but there are numerous problems with the case against Chauvin and they are growing. The problems with the case began emerging immediately when news hit the airwaves that Floyd was high on multiple drugs at the time, including fentanyl, and that he was in poor health. Fentanyl is an extremely potent pain killer which can be deadly even in minuscule doses as it shuts down the ability of its victims to breathe.

It also came to light early on that Floyd had a long, violent criminal history, and that he and Chauvin had had many encounters when Chauvin worked as a bouncer at a local club. It was even revealed that Floyd had once threatened a visibly pregnant woman with a firearm while pointing the weapon at the woman’s stomach. The argument that Chauvin knew Floyd was both dangerous and devious quickly gained traction. Floyd was a large and powerful man, and it could easily be the case that Chauvin might have feared the consequences of loosening his hold on him.

But video of Chauvin resting his knee on Floyd’s neck while clearly relaxed and not afraid quickly diffused that defense. During the trial, videotape from one of the body cameras worn by another officer came to light which shows Chauvin resting his knee not on Floyd’s neck, but rather his back. Chauvin’s chief of police has testified that kneeling on the neck is not something his officers are trained to do, however, it does appear now that the officer was not kneeling directly on Floyd’s neck.

Even still, it could be that Chauvin failed to respond properly to a medical emergency as Floyd did say he could not breathe, and the autopsy appears to show he had a good reason to say that.

The autopsy shows a number of things, including:

  • Floyd experienced non-fatal cardiac arrest during the restraint
  • There are no signs of traumatic asphyxiation
  • Floyd had cardiovascular hypertension
  • Floyd had fluid in his lungs and his lungs were 3X normal size
  • Fentanyl was found in his system in concentrations sufficient to kill

Floyd had been saying “I can’t breathe” before being restrained and police training videos show officers using a knee on the back are consistent with training and that Chauvin now appears to have performed that same technique.

But there is one more unique twist in this case that has just arisen this week. It is the fact that prosecutors are asking jurors to ignore the findings of the autopsy. In fact, they are bringing in medical expert witnesses to try to challenge the results of the autopsy, a strategy that is almost always used by the defense, not the prosecution.

  1. It’s just so amazing that the Obiden crime family saga continues. Now poor, poor Hunter is making the rounds of late night tv shows promoting he’s new book and the terrible life he had to lead because of his “White Elitist “ upbringing, private schools cars, colleges, country clubs etc., his daddy got him into the Navy reserve pulling lots of strings , then him getting thrown out for continued drug usage and warnings and getting a discharge with no derogatory code which he should have received, the sleaze back shacked up with he’s brothers widow, while still married to his wife and not supporting his family, while shaking with a stripper getting her pregnant , they hastily marries a woman only know for days ,buys a handgun illegally, his laptop with a lot of incriminating info on it , had this been any other person with his background would and should be banned from the White House and Air Force one as a high security risk . Which all seems to be forgotten about, oh I forgot his supposed investigation for tax fraud/ evasion. This guy is laughing very hard and I do mean very hard , because he knew a long time ago that nothing was going to happen to him as he laughs all the way to the bank at our countries expense. And they used to be concerned about the “Mafia “ the Biden, Clinton’s, Pelosi, Obama, Schumer families make Don Carleone, look like a an alter boy.

  2. SEAN HANNITY CLAIMS HIS MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE SAYS PRESSURE ON THE NECK CAN PUT OUT A PERSON IN 15 SECONDS- WELL IF CHAUVIN HAD HIS KNEE ON THE NECK FOR 9 MIN. AND FLOYD WAS STILL TALKING,IT MEANS HE WAS BREATHING. YOU CANNOT TALK IF YOURE NOT BREATHING. I THINK THAT CONTROL THE HEAD/CONTROL THE BODY HAS BEEN TAUGHT SINCE SNAKES WERE FIRST SPOTTED ON EARTH. HE HAD HIS KNEE ON UPPER NEAR NECK SHOULDER BLADES. FLOYD SAYS THE AUTOPSY, DID NOT DIE OF ASPHYXIATION, HE DIED OF HEAR PROBLEMS DUE TO MASSIVE AMTS OF DRUGS. TRUTH….. BUT THEY ARE SO AFRAID OF RIOTS,THAT THEY WILL PROBABLY CONVICT OF SOMETHING.

  3. He was only doing his job as best that he could given Floyd’s size and situation he’s not or ever was a super cop no cape just trying to finish the days work and do his duty as a police officer. Had it been a black cop or a white person being held down never whould have heard shit about it how many police officers never get to live and go home to their families due to this crap blacks think their above the laws

  4. So, now that there is irrefutable evidence that Floyd died from a self induced drug overdose and there is no evidence of asphyxiation, and officer Chauvin had his knee in Floyd’s shoulder blade not his neck. Will Floyd’s family be required to return their ill-gotten gains? You know, the absolute BS compensation.

  5. Chauvin did not kill this thug. George’s lifestyle, drug use, and inability to stay on the right side of the law killed him. This is nothing but a racist, get rich quick scheme to give blacks another reason to try and tear up our country. It’s disgusting and appalling and no one is fooled by it.

  6. My opinion on this bogus claim of murdering an innocent men ??? “”LET ME CIRCLE BACK TO YOU ON THAT”” !!!!!!

  7. To his credit, Chauvin has never said anything public. Floyd was a POS and the world is better off without him. He got a free hero’s funeral, more than most decent people will have.
On another website, a man said that he had paid for his crime in prison and was trying to rebuild his life. He was unaware that he was using a phony $20 bill. BS! His drug dealer was outside the store sitting in the car!
How many black men have hastened their own deaths by not complying with a legal order from a policeman? We’ve seen them run, and fight the cop(s), steal a taser from a cop. Are they stupid? If Floyd had simply complied, he would have been taken to the slammer. That’s if the Fentanyl didn’t kill him first. (I had to take Fentanyl in patches and the warnings on the flyer were scary. It clearly states that misuse or carelessness could result in death. I couldn’t put the new patch on the same place where I had removed the previous one. Wash your hands after touching it.). Fentanyl is nothing to fool around with.
Predictably, we’re going to see more white cop/black men deaths because they never learn. For less than 15% of the population, they’re responsible for 39% of Federal prisoners . The crap about blacks being oppressed is an attempt to excuse criminal behavior. We have black Hollywood stars, millionaire athletes, Supreme Court justices, a President, news personalities, members of Congress, governors, military officers, and every other area of American life . This is the land of opportunity where anybody can find his/her goals. Evidently Floyd’s goal was to be a common criminal. Too bad, so sad!

  8. Hannity is a butcher of the English language. His sentence structure breaks all the rules & is usually incoherent. For this reason l Don’t watch him any more, but the MMS he speaks of taking 15 seconds would be darce choke, guillotine choke anaconda choke or rear naked choke, none of which were used by Chauvin. Like l said he makes a fool of himself, nightly.

  9. Raise your hand if you think justice should be tempered by the threat of riots. “Ok, Pilot, you can put your hand down, your stand on this is well documented in the new testament.” Excuse me for comparing Chauvin to Jesus, but “being innocent” is “being innocent” whether you are brutal racist white cop or a Jewish man who believed himself to be the Messiah, accused the Jewish clergy of hypocrisy , and preached love of your enemy. Jesus was guilty of blasphamy in the eyes of the Jewish clergy, but was NOT guilty under Roman law which gave no credence to Jewish traditions or beliefs. Crucifixion was a penalty for sedition and Jesus in preaching non-violence was no threat whatever to Rome’s control of Pilot’s jurisdiction– on the contrary preached submission to Roman Law . Because the region was subject to Roman Law and the Jewish leaders were not allowed to take the law into their own hands by subjecting Jesus to death by stoning for the crime of blasphemy without being themselves guilty of murder under Roman Law, they were requesting Pilot to punish Jesus by a Roman execution. Pilot’s only concern might be that Jesus was a catalyst for the gathering of larger crowds. Pilot though a cruel man, nonetheless had some sense of justice, and was reticent to subject Jesus, an innocent man under Roman law, to the penalty reserved for sedition. Pontious Pilot was in exactly the same situation as the jurors in the trial of Derek Chauvin. He could hand out a just decision that would lead to rioting, or ignore his sense of justice and pacify the Jewish leaders who were clammering to have Jesus crucified.

  10. Wanted to hold opinion about Floyd’s death till after opportunity to view different angled of restraints being used.
I’ve always understood that if a person can speak then they’re not being choked.
In this case it is also obvious that Officer Chavuin did not use pressure directly on Floyd’s neck, which would have been a lethal restraint. Not so here, it appears that the officer’s knee was more centered on Floyd’s upper back and not on his neck. Floyd’s demise was all of his own doing “drugs kill.”
