Vice President Kamala Harris, allegedly a staunch supporter of women’s rights and an opponent of sexual harassment, enjoyed a discussion at a Clinton Foundation event to discuss women’s empowerment with none other than alleged sexual predator and former President Bill Clinton.
The event was held in Washington, D.C., and sponsored by Howard University.
Perhaps Harris has conveniently forgotten about Clinton’s not-so-#MeToo friendly past. Isn’t this the same guy who had an ongoing sexual relationship with then-intern Monica Lewinsky in the White House as president?
Or maybe Harris also forgot a little lawsuit from Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee who accused Clinton of exposing himself and propositioning her?
Did she overlook Leslie Millwee, too? She is a former Arkansas television reporter who claimed Clinton sexually assaulted her three times back in 1980.
Maybe Harris should instead have a sit down with Kathleen Willey. She was a White House aide in 1993 when she accused Clinton of sexually assaulting her.
Then there’s former campaign volunteer Juanita Broaddrick. Did Harris forget to “hear her voice?” Broaddrick claimed Clinton raped her in 1978 when he served as the attorney general of Arkansas.
More recently, Clinton’s shady sexual past resurfaced in pictures featured by The Sun that showed him with his arm around a young woman on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane. He has allegedly been involved in Epstein’s “sex slave” activities that have been mega-headlines for the involvement of high-profile individuals in sexual activities, including Bill Clinton.
Is this the same Kamala Harris who attacked U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh over a vague sexual harassment allegation from his teenage years? She claims to stand for the women who have been mistreated at the hands of predatory men. If so, there must be a Clinton exclusion clause somewhere, because his list of predatory actions stands higher than most political leaders in recent history.
Unless this is a sit down confessional, the Clinton Foundation event is hypocrisy at the highest level. When the vice president and a former president, both Democrats, claim to highlight women’s empowerment while ignoring numerous past sexual allegations, it will take more than a Jedi mind trick to convince an audience that the rights of women are truly the priority.
Instead, the event will serve as another fundraising opportunity to enhance the future of those involved. The Clinton Foundation has already been under investigation for past concerns regarding spending. Who knows what the future holds? We’re living in a time when Vice President Harris is “accidentally” called President Harris by an invisible president who won’t hold a press conference.
We’re in a time when those who love America and the freedoms that made it great are increasingly called the bad guys, while illegal immigrants are called migrants and given a free ticket into the nation. People who support the Second Amendment are called unpatriotic.
Up is down and down is up. Our nation stands in dire need NOT for a women’s empowerment discussion with a guy who fooled around with his intern in the White House, but leadership that seeks to respect and represent the American people.
