Can we get a do-over and have Matt Gaetz be the US Attorney General? After current Attorney General Pam Bondi spent the past week on Fox News hyping that she had the Jeffrey Epstein files sitting on her desk, “the binder” was finally released to a select group of independent journalists on Thursday.
It was a gigantic nothingburger. It was a list of people who knew Jeffrey Epstein. There was no evidence of any crimes that were committed and nothing that would reveal who was actually in the giant pedophile and blackmail ring that Epstein operated. Nice going, Pam Bondi.
Here’s the deal. Every time that Pam Bondi was on Fox News over the past week, she knew that she had no significant information from the FBI’s case files. They also took a lot of time setting up this “release.” They had all those independent journalists there on Thursday—some from as far away as California. They had the binders ready to hand out to them.
Pam Bondi had to know that there was no significant information that she was about to release publicly. Yet after the release of “the binder” on Thursday, she suddenly started acting all shocked that the FBI had duped her.
She’s been on Fox News every day for the past week since she announced that she has the Epstein files. Bondi made it sound like she was going to release the actual evidence of criminal activity from the FBI’s Epstein case files. Here was her Wednesday night appearance on Fox News, just 12 hours before “the binder” was released:
Pam Bondi had to know on Wednesday night, the evening before she was about to release “the binder,” that there was no significant information in it.
Pam Bondi’s little circus act reminds me of what happened on Fox News during the Russia collusion hoax. After Donald Trump was completely exonerated by the Mueller report, the Durham investigation began.
Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) was on Sean Hannity’s show night after night after night, saying the same thing over and over again. Here’s a paraphrase of what he told the American people every single night:
“Well, I’ll tell you what, Sean! John Durham is a BULLDOG and he’s going to get to the bottom of this! Indictments are going to be coming down any day now and people at the FBI are gonna go to jail! I mean, really! As for me, I’m in charge of the committee that’s investigating the Russia hoax and we’re gonna get to the bottom of it! There’s gonna be transparency and the American people are gonna know exactly what happened! I won’t rest until I get to the bottom of this!”
Blah-blah-blah. That went on every night on Fox News for more than a year. Lindsay Graham’s committee never held a single hearing on the Russia collusion hoax and never interviewed a single witness. As for BULLDOG Durham, he didn’t even interview most of the key players involved in the Russia hoax and no one went to prison. The FBI lied to the courts to get warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and nothing ever happened.
But Fox News viewers were kept in the loop every step of the way!
That’s what just happened to the American people with Pam Bondi and the Epstein files. Every single night, she made it sound like she had the real Epstein files while she knew full well that she didn’t. After releasing “the binder,” which was just an insignificant list of Epstein’s contacts and no information about any co-conspirators, she’s putting on a new show.
“Those rascals at the FBI tricked me!”
Instead of the MAGA Attorney General that we were all hoping for, we got the woman who put fake witnesses on the stand to try to frame George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case. Pam Bondi did that so she could get head pats and cookies from Barack Obama and Black Lives Matter.
It’s disappointing but not surprising. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is chairing the House subcommittee in charge of declassifying government secrets, including the Epstein files. It seems significant that Bondi released “the binder” of Epstein’s boring contact list to a bunch of independent journalists. Bondi still hasn’t sent a single page of documents to Luna’s committee. And we still don’t know who any of Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirators are.
