House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) refused to answer on Thursday whether an unborn baby at 15 weeks old is a human, dodging the question under the guise of motherhood.
“Let me just say that I am a big supporter of Roe v. Wade. I’m the mother of five children in six years, I think I have some standing on this issue as to respecting a woman’s right to choose,” Pelosi answered a reporter on the question.
Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted in response to Pelosi’s answer, “Barbaric. Speaker Pelosi refuses to say an unborn baby at 15 weeks is a human being. Science doesn’t matter to today’s radical Dems—it’s all politics.”
Life News added on Twitter, “Nancy Pelosi says being a mother makes her an expert on abortion. No, it just means her kids should be glad they weren’t aborted!”
An upcoming Supreme Court case will address the 2018 Mississippi law that bans abortions after 15 weeks.
The Washington Examiner noted, “Pelosi and other high-ranking political figures are under new scrutiny over their pro-abortion rights views.”
It added, “The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has begun delving into whether it should allow President Joe Biden and other top national leaders who are Catholic to receive Holy Communion if they are also in favor of abortion. Pope Francis warned bishops this week against politically weaponizing Communion.”
The court will address the case, but Pelosi will still not answer the question. Her response to the pro-life issue is increasingly against science and the views of the majority of Americans.
Regardless of Pelosi’s view, the pro-life issue still comes down to morality. If the child in the womb is truly human, it’s no one’s “right” to decide whether to end the life.
The increased use of ultrasound technology has helped Americans visually see the truth for themselves. In addition, the outstanding work of medical professionals to help babies born months premature to survive has also shown evidence that life in the womb is just that—life.
There was a time when the Democratic Party was more diverse on the pro-life issue. It was not until Barack Obama’s time as president that the party fully embraced an anti-abortion view as part of its platform.
Did the values of the party change? Not really. But it’s funding did. In 2020 alone, the legislative arm of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, committed $45 million in campaign funds, and they definitely weren’t supporting pro-life Republicans. The group officially endorsed Biden for president.
Now Democrats are pushing a new budget that includes taxpayer funding for abortions. Biden had previously supported the Hyde Amendment that opposed the practice of taxpayer money toward abortions, but apparently not anymore.
But simply put, abortion is not health care. It is not a right, nor should those who morally oppose it be forced to fund it. Hopefully the court will respond with a better answer than Pelosi. With a 6 to 3 conservative majority, it’s the best chance since Roe v. Wade for the nation’s highest court to stand for life.
The only shred of pro- abortion sentiment I hold is that I wish Pelosi’s mother had one.
Pelosi doesn’t surprise me. She is not a human, she is a self absorbed evil monster. She is a money grabbing, power hungry animal. She needs to be removed and incarcerated for the rest of her unnatural sick life.
This abomination of a failed abortion herself is probably why she’s so vile, petulant, and a completely worthless piece of shit of a human being. And to think that this “Birthing Person” had 5 kids of her own. I wonder if they’ve all got the same twisted mindset as their bearer of life. This “woman” is a criminal beyond reproach and has no business walking around freely with the rest of us hard working, freedom loving Americans.
