Radiation Counts Spike in New York City as Biden Orders Drones Shot Down

Well, that turned on a dime. The Biden regime has gone from telling Americans there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the unidentified drones on Monday and Tuesday, to imposing a no-fly zone over a big section of New Jersey amid a warning that the government is going to start shooting them down on Thursday.

One of the theories has been that the drones are federally owned and operated, and they’re looking for a potential dirty bomb. Right as all this is happening, radiation levels spiked to a dangerously high level in part of New York City on Wednesday.

We have to explain a little bit—from a layman’s perspective—what Geiger counters do before getting into the huge spike in New York City. There are radiation detectors set up all over the world that are constantly measuring the number of times that radiation particles hit a detector in a 60-second period. This is known as Counts-per-Minute or CPM.

The average American is exposed to anywhere from 5 to 60 CPM of radiation at any given time. That can come from your cell phone, your Wi-Fi signal, a nearby cell tower, or other sources. Anything in the 5-60 range is no cause for alarm. According to the SOEKS-USA radiation blog, anytime a CPM gets “significantly above 100 CPM” there is a cause for concern.

An important thing to keep in mind is that the type of radiation is very important. The radiation that a nuclear power plant gives off is very different from the radiation emitted from a cell phone tower—otherwise, we’d all be cooked right now. Radiation CPM can also fluctuate for a short period of time and it does not necessarily mean that anyone is in any danger.

Keep that in mind because we don’t know what type of radiation the detectors are picking up.

You can look up these numbers we’re about to share for yourself at the GQ Electronics’ Geiger Counter World Map, which detected the spike in New York City on Wednesday. The numbers on the color-coded dots on the map show the current CPM in any location where a Geiger counter is set up.

Remember—anything above 100 CPM is cause for concern and merits an investigation by federal authorities to make sure something hasn’t gone horribly wrong. We’re not trying to scare anyone here. The numbers are what they are. If anyone has expertise in radiation CPM, feel free to let us know if we’ve erred anywhere in the comments below.

But as of this writing, there are a number of hotspots across the US that have “unsafe” CPM levels. The closest to New York and New Jersey as of this writing is a 375 CPM being picked up in Waterbury, CT, just northeast of New York City.

Tucson, AZ, and San Jose, CA, are both reading at 420 CPM at this moment. Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota had a 420 CPM reading a few days ago, but it’s completely gone now (as mentioned, radiation CPM can fluctuate a lot). We’re not sure what’s going on in Hot Springs Village, AR, right now, but they’re measuring a very high 775 CPM as of this writing. Hot Springs Village is south of the only nuclear power plant in Arkansas, so maybe that’s a contributing factor?

Those are all potentially “unsafe” Counts-per-Minute radiation levels happening in cities in America as of this writing (except for the North Dakota one, which went away a few days ago).

On Wednesday evening, the detectors in the Bronx and the Upper West Side in New York city suddenly spiked to 1,048 CPM—ten times higher than the “safe” level.

This is super important:

The radiation levels quickly went back to NORMAL in New York City after that anomaly. There’s not even any indication that anyone was in any danger. We’re just reporting the straight facts in this fluid situation. The radiation CPS in the Bronx and the Upper West Side is now 8, which is very safe.

What we do know, however, is that after that extremely high CPM reading on Wednesday, the Biden regime suddenly did an about-face. The FAA issued a ban on drone flights over a huge section of New Jersey, and the government is warning that they’ll shoot any unauthorized drones down. We don’t even know if the radiation spike in New York City was in any way related to the drone situation. The timing is curious, though, and these are the facts that we know.
