What Conservatives Still Don’t Get About the Left’s Power

If you’ve been listening to the usual talking heads on TV or scrolling through conservative social media, you might think the left is on the ropes. You’ve probably heard that “wokeness is dead” or that the Democratic Party is falling apart. But let’s be clear — that’s not happening. Not even close. The radical left is not losing. They’re getting stronger. And if we keep pretending otherwise, we’re going to lose the country we love.

Let’s start with the basics. Yes, President Trump has made great progress over the past year. He’s rooted out “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” programs from federal agencies. He’s challenged the woke agenda in schools that take federal money. That’s real action, not just talk. But the left isn’t dumb. They just move the ball down the field in different ways. Corporations, universities, Hollywood, and public schools are still pushing the same radical ideas — just with new labels.

Look around. In states like New York, California, and Illinois, the most extreme policies are not just surviving — they’re popular. Biological men competing in girls’ sports? Boys in girls’ locker rooms? These should be no-brainers. But voters in those states are either fine with it or don’t care enough to vote against it. That should scare every traditional American.

The media loves to point out that Democrats are polling at just 30 percent approval. But guess what? Republicans aren’t doing much better. A Gallup poll shows the GOP only three points ahead. Worse, Democrats lead by 20 points on what voters call “acceptable” beliefs. That means more Americans think their radical ideas are normal. That’s not a win for us. That’s a warning sign.

And let’s talk about money. The Democrats are swimming in it. They’ve got the teachers’ unions, Hollywood, big business, and the media. They control the places where culture is shaped — from kindergarten classrooms to TikTok influencers. Their radicals, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Zohran Mamdani, aren’t scaring voters away. They’re energizing them.

In Virginia, a Democrat named Jay Jones — a man who once texted that he wanted to shoot a Republican lawmaker and hoped his children would die — is still neck-and-neck in the polls for attorney general. That tells you something. His party didn’t drop him. They stood by him. Why? Because they know their voters care more about beating us than about basic decency.

Now let’s get real about the black vote. Despite what some pundits say, black Americans are not leaving the Democratic Party in large numbers. Some African immigrants and West Indian Christians lean more conservative, and that’s promising. But the overall trend hasn’t changed. Most black voters still see Republicans as the enemy, no matter how much good President Trump has done for their communities.

Instead of chasing after votes that probably won’t come, conservatives should focus on the groups that are moving our way: white Christian men, Orthodox Jews, and Hispanic families who care about faith and family. That’s where we can win — if we stop wasting time on fairy tales.

Here’s a story from my own town. Our local elementary school had kids singing about “Daddy’s new boyfriend.” This isn’t San Francisco — it’s a small borough in Pennsylvania. But the teachers belong to the far-left American Federation of Teachers, and they don’t care what parents think. They push their agenda day in and day out. And even though our school board still has a Christian majority, the pressure from radical feminists and progressive activists is growing.

This is happening all over America. The left is not collapsing. It’s consolidating power. They are taking over school boards, newsrooms, city councils, and state legislatures. They don’t need to win every election to win the culture.

If we want to turn this country around, we need to stop pretending we’re winning. We’re not — yet. But we can. It starts with telling the truth, standing our ground, and refusing to let the left define what’s “normal” in America. Because if we don’t fight now, there may not be much left to fight for.
