Twenty-four House Republicans led by Virginia Rep. Bob Good sent a letter on Wednesday to President Joe Biden pushing him to remove amnesty from the Democratic infrastructure bill, calling it an example of “radical policy agenda.”
“Your candidacy for President was based on promises of ‘unity’ for all Americans. Yet amnesty would be another in a long line of examples of the most radical public policy agenda from a President in modern American history,” the letter read.
“Your administration has supported initiatives that appear designed to lead to a one-party Democrat rule. These include a federal election takeover that amounts to taxpayer-funded campaigns for politicians, open border policies, and an unprecedented level of spending that not only increases dependence on government but has contributed to the inflation millions of ordinary Americans are feeling every day.”
The letter also condemned Biden’s recent use of images of Jim Crow laws and the Civil War in attacks on Republican legislation.
“Not only have your actions betrayed your calls for unity, you have also regularly invoked images of Jim Crow and the Civil War to smear the concerns of Trump supporters and Republican legislators who support voter I.D. laws,” the GOP leaders wrote.
Democrats announced plans last week to move forward with a $3.5 trillion infrastructure plan that currently includes a pathway to citizenship for “Dreamers” — the protected illegal immigrants who came to America as children — as well as other illegal immigrants currently in the U.S.
The left really wants to combine turning illegal immigrants into citizens with building roads and bridges. It’s unclear what fixing potholes has to do with amnesty, but Biden is all for it.
Of course, this is after Biden baited a team for GOP members to participate in a so-called bipartisan effort to develop an infrastructure plan. So much for the bipartisan part.
The only thing both parties seem to agree on at moment is how much they despise one another. The look is not good for the nation, whether the issue is working on highways or protecting the border.
Biden wants to call Republicans the makers of new Jim Crow laws for seeking to make better election laws. Even the filibuster and not packing the Supreme Court is apparently racist to Democrats now.
Texas Democrats have tried to label themselves as heroes to leaving work on a private plane to hang out with millionaires on a free vacation to D.C. Sadly, several of them ended up testing positive for COVID-19 in the process.
But real Americans don’t take vacation days when life doesn’t go their way. They show up, work hard and deal with problems instead of running from them. Between the name calling, sneaky plans and running from problems, the left has no time to actually do their job of helping Americans.
Instead, America’s voters should give them what they deserve—a new job doing something besides governing the country. The 2022 midterms need to be about cleaning house of those who can’t lead during tough times as we face a critical moment in our nation’s history.
Biden needs to be removed from office before he completely ruins the country he is a worse president than he was vice
