New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has just done something which proves just how incredibly two-faced the Democrats are and why they should NEVER be trusted.
Under President Joe Biden’s “leadership” over the past four years, New York City became completely overrun by illegal aliens, forcing tax payers to foot the multi-billion dollar bill.
The city’s Democrat mayor Eric Adams has pretended he wants to fix this problem, even catching flak from his own party after expressing a willingness to work with President Donald Trump’s Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to clean up the streets of the once-great-American city.
But Adams – being the shapeshifting Democrat that he is – has secretly been spearheading an effort to make life EASIER for illegals in NYC!
The Adams-led effort opens the door for more ILLEGALS to get IDs in New York City – instantly giving them access to things like free (tax-payer funded) healthcare, housing, schooling and perhaps worst of all, GIVE THEM THE ABILITY TO VOTE.
NYC has a program in place which issues municipal residency IDs (IDNYC) to New Yorkers, “regardless of their immigration status,” according to the city’s website.
IDNYC was originally introduced by the city’s last radical leftist mayor, Bill de Blasio (D) back in 2015 to help migrants take advantage of the U.S. taxpayer funded services.
However, Adams and co. are now loosening the restrictions on this in order to make it available to ANY illegal living in the city.
The change permits the use of 23 additional forms of identification, including expired driver’s licenses and outdated documents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and even from the Bureau of Prisons.
Critics of the radical move have said this creates YET ANOTHER incentive for illegals to come to America and dig into NYC.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) said, “To provide a legitimate government ID to individuals in the country illegally then give them access to government buildings and services is just another incentive (to come here).”
Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) said that this move by Adams was “reckless and dangerous,” adding that it will “pretty much set the city on fire.”
Moody added, “It is incredible that they would ever, ever keep pushing this insanity when [President] Trump has said, ‘We’re not funding your mess anymore. We’re cleaning up this house. We’re cutting up this funding that has allowed you to enact policies that are undermining the security and stability of your cities that’s over.’”
But what’s especially interesting about this change is the fact that it comes at the same time that New York City Democrats are pushing to allow noncitizens to register to vote in elections.
After the courts initially ruled last year that allowing non-citizens to vote in elections is unconstitutional, the Democrats are trying to convince the court to reconsider the ruling which is the only thing stopping a legislation letting illegals vote which the city already passed.
New York Democrats have absolutely RUINED their city – and rather than fixing it they’re trying to replace pissed off American voters with illegal aliens.
Does this sound like something a true Trump-ally would do? Not at all. Rather it’s indicative of just how UNTRUSTWORTHY Democrats like Adams truly are.
Adams is not the first snake who has tried to align himself with President Trump – and he certainly won’t be the last.
