Supreme Court Rules AGAINST Newsom’s Ban on Indoor Worship Services

The US has ruled on a religious freedom case that opposes California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom. The Court ordered Santa Clara County to permit churches to hold indoor worship services following an emergency writ of injunction by five of the state’s churches.

As Governor Newsom continues to fight against a growing recall battle, the ruling strikes against one of his many executive orders to shut down activities across the Golden State. Justice Elena Kagan, assigned to the West Coast, pointed to two recent cases in New York and southern California to support the ruling to remove the Santa Clara County restriction.

In a report in The Washington Free Beacon, Nebraska Republican Senator Ben Sasse responded, “Gavin Newsom can get a reservation at the French Laundry but he can’t rewrite the First Amendment. States that intentionally target religious liberty have been slapped down by the courts again and again. The message is clear: This pandemic doesn’t rewrite the Constitution.”

The news comes as the Recall Newsom petition announced it has reached 1.8 million signatures, more than 300,000 beyond what the state requires to add a recall measure to the 2021 ballot. Signature collection will continue until March 17, with organizers pushing for two million signatures to account for those that may be disqualified.

If successful, the recall would serve as only the second in California’s history. Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger replaced Governor Gray Davis in a 2003 recall election battle. However, many Democrats believe Newsom would win in a recall election, despite his lack of popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yet opposition is rising. Kevin Faulconer, a former San Diego mayor, is among the leading Republican gubernatorial candidates. He stated in response to the Court’s ruling, “Gavin Newsom has put in place uneven and inconsistent COVID-19 restrictions on private entities that are not always supported by science. The Supreme Court has ruled that religious communities have been unfairly and unconstitutionally singled out by these unilateral orders. This should send a message to Newsom to stop infringing on the rights of people of faith.”

Let’s hope Faulconer is right. The limitations on places of worship in California have reached unprecedented levels. Despite pandemic concerns, America remains a place of religious freedom. The First Amendment guarantees it, yet 2020, and now 2021, reveal religious freedom is at the forefront of the nation’s battles once again.

As the nation’s most-populated state, California’s 45 million people deserve better. The question is whether even the current recall effort will be enough. Once the deadline requirements are met, the state will be forced to hold a special election, allowing the people of the state to decide their future.

Let’s hope Californians have had enough of progressive policies and finally choose to take a shot at letting a conservative lead. If so, we’ll live in a strange time when one of the nation’s most progressive states would be led by a conservative while America is led by one of the most radical presidents in the nation’s history.

Undoubtedly it goes from the Hollywood idiots to the ghetto idiots that support the demoncrapic socialist party. Once your life, property and money disappear, what will you have left. Nothing…..People had better wake up and quit listening to the fake news on CNN and MSNBC. They show their ignorance and stupidity every time they open their nasty, ugly mouths and spurt out lies. The sad part is that idiots, morons and freeloaders listen to them.

  3. Every Demoncrat in this once beautiful state is a f***ing moron. They are so stupid that they can not see their liberties are being taken from them everyday the Biteme biden, the Piggylosi clan and Nudie Nudesome clan are in power. Wake up CALIFORNIA OR YOU WILL BECOME VENEZUELA!!!

  4. Democrats need to vacate California and run to Puerto Rico or Cuba to stay in business . after all those are socialist places that are not emerging for socialism at all even with the evidence that their “leaders’ have no idea what they are doing.

  5. The problem is the Republicans put several people on the ballot to split the vote and since Comiefornia has a single primary for all parties we wind up with 2 Democrats to chose from in the final election.
All the Republican candidates need to get together in a dark smoke-filled room and draw straws to determine the ONE who actually gets on the ballot.
