Things gradually went back to “normal” in Southern California after a District Court judge ruled that indiscriminate ICE raids were illegal. And by “normal,” we mean that the illegal aliens came back out of hiding, and life became miserable again for residents. Traffic jams and fatalities went up dramatically, and there’s trash everywhere again. President Trump’s Summer of Beauty and Justice was nice while it lasted. Fortunately, the Supreme Court stepped in and delivered a 6-3 ruling. The Summer of Beauty and Justice can continue!
If you missed what happened earlier this summer, we’ve been chronicling the amazing transformation of the seven counties in Southern California. After the ICE raids started in earnest last June, California suddenly became a peaceful place to live again.
Traffic jams vanished in Los Angeles as the illegal aliens all went into hiding. Traffic fatalities in L.A. decreased by 7% in July. It was the first time in recorded NHTSA history that L.A. had fewer traffic deaths than the national average. There wasn’t litter and trash all over the city streets. Everything was cleaner and the sky was bluer during the Summer of Beauty and Justice.
But then the liberal courts stepped in and tried to ruin everything for Americans.
It started when some ICE agents spotted some Hispanic-looking guys in toolbelts waiting at a bus stop in L.A. They pulled over to talk to the guys and sure enough, they were all illegal aliens. Gotcha!
The anti-American ACLU sued and claimed that ICE’s “indiscriminate” raids of public spaces and Home Depot parking lots were illegal. U.S. District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong (no conflict of interest there!) ruled that ICE was making arrests without “reasonable suspicion.” Judge Frimpong, a Biden appointee, ruled that ICE can no longer make arrests based on race, location targeting (Home Depot parking lots), language (can’t speak English), membership in MS-13 or Tren de Aragua, or other commonsense factors.
So, in August, everything reversed to pre-ICE raid living conditions in Southern California as the illegals came back out of hiding. Traffic sucks again, there’s litter everywhere, and every corner has an unlicensed E. coli food truck operating on it again.
On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the ICE raids in California can resume. It’s perfectly legitimate for ICE to stop any person in any public space and ask whether they’re here legally or not. They can stop people anywhere and don’t have to worry about their race, language, location, or gang affiliation.
If they speak with a foreign accent, ICE has every right to check if the person is illegal, and it doesn’t matter whether they’re in a Home Depot parking lot, a car wash, a flea market, or anywhere else.
Here’s an ugly reality about all sanctuary states and especially California these days, which the Democrats don’t want people to realize. If ICE stops any random Hispanic-looking person on the street anywhere in Southern California, there’s about a 70-30 chance that they’re an illegal alien. After four years of the unelected Biden regime opening our southern border, illegal alien Hispanics now outnumber legal Hispanics in California by a margin of more than 2 to 1. Even the legal Hispanics are sick of it.
Border Czar Tom Homan says that ICE has now captured 400,000 illegal aliens this year. That’s an incredible improvement after ICE got off to a lackluster start. Imagine what a great job they’re going to do when they finish hiring another 10,000 agents because of the Big Beautiful Bill.
Here’s a new statistic that may surprise you. In the midst of President Trump’s crackdown on crime in Washington, DC, 25% of the people they’re arresting in the commission of active crimes are illegal aliens. One-fourth of the criminals preying on the people of Washington, DC, came into the country illegally.
If you think that President Trump’s measures are cruel or unnecessary, then you haven’t been paying attention to what’s going on overseas. France’s government has collapsed twice in the past nine months. They’ve burned through two prime ministers in that time. Japan’s government collapsed a few days ago. Germany’s government should collapse within the next 30 to 60 days.
Can you guess the one thing all three of those countries have in common (as well as Slovakia, where the government collapsed a couple of years ago)?
Mass immigration collapses countries from within. It just happened faster in those countries because they are much smaller than America.
So, whether you like it or not, the Summer of Beauty and Justice must continue if we want America to survive.
