Yesterday, June 16, 2025, marked the 10-year anniversary of the MAGA movement. It was ten years ago to the day when Donald J. Trump descended the golden escalator at his hotel and delivered the iconic “Mexico isn’t sending their best” speech.
I had planned to do a big retrospective article on what an amazing ride it’s been. Instead, we learned that there’s been an asterisk next to the mass deportation policy that we all somehow missed during the 2024 campaign. Trump has announced that every skanky illegal alien working in the agriculture, hotel, or restaurant industry gets amnesty.
Wow, how did we miss that?
And here we thought that mass deportation meant “mass deportation.”
The response to the announcement was immediate and furious from Trump’s base on social media. Every single person I follow on X is righteously p*ssed off about this.
It became clear fairly early that Trump’s Department of Agriculture Secretary, Brooke Rollins, was behind this betrayal of the MAGA movement. It’s not the first time that Rollins has treated President Trump’s MAGA/MAHA base like a set of Amber Heard’s bedsheets.
Within her first week as Ag Secretary, Rollins announced that she was going to inject every chicken in America with an mRNA “vaccine” for bird flu. The base was furious. We’d just spent four years trying to warn people that mRNA gene serums are poisonous—and she wanted to put them in the food supply!
Someone pulled the genius Rollins aside and pointed out that if we mass-vaccinate poultry farms, almost zero of our trading partners would ever take another hen or egg from an American farm. Fortunately, that policy was quickly rolled back. No mRNAs in the food.
A few days ago, ICE raided a meat-packing plant in Omaha called Glenn Valley Foods. They arrested 76 illegal aliens. The owner of the plant ran sobbing to NBC Latino (because we need effing foreign-language TV stations in our country now). The owner—who has gotten rich by skipping out on payroll and FICA taxes for years—now says “there’s no playbook” on how to move forward after his entire foreign-born workforce is gone.
Brooke Rollins saw that sob story, ran to President Trump, and convinced him that the food supply in America would collapse if he didn’t tell ICE to stop raiding Big Ag corporations.
Soon, the hospitality industry weighed in. If they lose their illegal alien workers, it will be bad for them too. So now restaurants and hotels get amnesty for their illegal aliens.
What’s next? Construction workers? Lawn mower guys? Roofers? The nanny who watches Nancy Pelosi’s grandkids?
Jobs in agriculture, hotels, and restaurants are tough. But do you remember what we called those jobs when Generation X were all teenagers?
JOBS FOR AMERICAN TEENAGERS!
When I was a kid growing up in the 1980s, during a typical summer day, I’d change the irrigation lines at multiple farms and ranches before dawn. Then it was off to my roofing job, where I’d pack bundles of shingles up a ladder for a few hours. In the afternoons, I worked on multiple ranches helping them put their hay up for next winter. On the weekends, I washed dishes at a restaurant.
Most of my buddies worked these same jobs. A couple of friends had lawn-mowing businesses. All the gals in our class worked cleaning hotel rooms, waiting tables, or running the cash register at a retail business.
That was life in America. We were all happy to work these minimum wage jobs in our safe, American communities. And it could be that way again, but not if Brooke Rollins has her way.
When this idiotic, brand-new amnesty plan started catching flak from the base, Rollins immediately called the base a bunch of “grifters” on X.
Grifters?!
Just off the top of my head, the following people are opposed to hotel and ag workers receiving amnesty: Ned Ryun, Sean Davis, Tucker Carlson, Matt Walsh, Shawn Farrish, Mike Cernovich, Charlie Kirk, Alex Jones, Jack Posobiec, Steve Bannon… Hell, even Laura Ingraham on Fox News has come out in opposition to it.
If a company can’t survive because its owners want to skip out on the payroll taxes that every other industry pays, then that company doesn’t deserve to survive. And the idea that our food supply will “collapse” without illegal aliens is another agricultural byproduct.
One that comes out of the back end of a bull.
Mr. President: The best gift that you could give to MAGA on this 10-year anniversary would be to keep your promise and deport ALL illegal aliens. And fire that RINO idiot who is calling your base “grifters.”
