Operation ‘Midway Blitz’ is underway in Chicago. ICE agents have arrested 550 illegal aliens for deportation so far, and military assistance hasn’t even arrived to support them yet. Now that the federal courts have ruled that ICE can stop anyone on the streets who appears illegal alien-ish, things are going much more smoothly. The media is, however, starting to squawk about a new policy that the Trump administration has deployed. You’re going to love this!
One of the most infuriating things about immigration policy in this country is how previous administrations have allowed illegal aliens to just hang around for years, even after an immigration judge has ordered them deported. There are people hanging around, parked on jobs intended for Americans and drawing welfare, who have had final deportation orders since 1997.
How does that happen? It happens because the federal government is corrupt and it hates us.
These are the supposedly “law-abiding” illegal aliens that you’re always hearing about. Even after they’ve been issued a final deportation order from a judge (as if they’re somehow entitled to redress in the American court system), they just hang around and never leave.
The law states that no matter how long an illegal alien has resided in this country, they are supposed to be detained while awaiting deportation. They’re not supposed to be able to carry on their lives while parking their butts on jobs that American teenagers used to do, while collecting thousands of dollars a month in welfare benefits. But that’s how the system has “worked.”
Illegals just check in once a month with ICE or some INS bureaucrat, and they never get detained or deported. Even after receiving a final deportation order, they just stick around. They check in with ICE and go back to ripping off the American taxpayers.
That’s no longer happening!
Illegal aliens who have been following that system for decades are suddenly finding themselves slapped in handcuffs when they show up for their ICE check-ins. ICE is also detaining them and keeping them locked up after court hearings. In some cases, they just show up at the illegal’s workplace and arrest them.
The media is terribly upset about this. Here are some of the sob stories they’re pushing, to highlight just how cruel President Trump is for enforcing existing laws that no previous president has bothered with.
In Lake Elmo, Minnesota, ICE arrested Antonia Maldonado from El Salvador. Her illegal alien parents brought her into the country in 2016, and the Obama administration allowed them to stay. She’s managed to crank out two “anchor babies” since then. She’s in custody now. She’ll get to experience the wisdom of Border Czar Tom Homan, who has noted that “families can be deported together.”
In Burlington, Massachusetts, a Brazilian man who was allowed into the country during Joe Biden’s invasion in 2021 is now in custody. Elizaldo Sampaio was released into the country under an Order of Recognizance.
In Baltimore, ICE arrested a Mexican national named Heriberto Torralba. He’s been in the country illegally since 1995.
Here’s the thing about those Orders of Recognizance that previous administrations have been so fond of. It’s a “no cash bail” system for illegal aliens. DHS has the option to have illegal aliens pay a bond while they’re awaiting their court hearing. Under an Order of Recognizance, the government has the option to not force them to post bail.
Since they haven’t posted bond, the Trump administration is simply arresting these people when they show up for their monthly ICE check-in. And they’re not letting them out! They have to remain in detention until their next immigration court appearance date.
Because the Biden regime flooded the immigration court system with tens of millions of new illegal aliens, there’s about a ten-year backlog for cases. If an illegal is taken into custody today, they can look forward to a long stay in Alligator Alcatraz or some other facility before they finally get deported.
This is wonderful! The Trump administration hopes that this new reinforcement of existing law will encourage millions of additional illegal aliens to self-deport. They no longer get to hang out and park on a job they stole from an American for a few decades. Now they get to sit in a jail cell, which is what the law says.
