The Biden Administration approved a Pride flag to be displayed on the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See, disrespecting the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching against same-sex unions.
A tweet posted the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See said, “The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See celebrates #PrideMonth with the Pride flag on display during the month of June. The United States respects the dignity and equality of LGBTQI+ people. LGBTQI+ rights are human rights.”
But we’re not talking about rights. We’re also talking about disrespect to the world’s hundreds of millions of Catholics and other Christians.
Traditional Roman Catholic and biblical teachings oppose same-sex unions. In the words of a Vatican statement in May, “The blessing of homosexual unions cannot be considered licit,” USA Today reported.
The statement added “there are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God’s plan for marriage and family.”
President Joe Biden, who says he is a long-time Catholic, did not seem to care.
On another note, among the U.S. Embassies flying Pride flags in June, did the Biden administration decide to do so in Muslim majority countries? Take a look and you’ll discover the answer.
Biden doesn’t want to upset Muslims, but doesn’t seem to care about the Pope or those following the traditional teachings of the Bible.
The contrast with former President Donald Trump could not be stronger. In 2019, the Trump Administration refused requests from U.S. Embassies to fly a Pride flag.
Last month, the Black Lives Matter flag was flown alongside the American flag at embassies.
We’re not sure what to expect next, but anything can happen when Biden is running the show. We might even get a chocolate ice cream flag at the rate he’s going…
Yes, sexual orientation is a controversial subject. People have lots of views about it. But to fly a Pride flag in the sight of the Vatican is a bit much. Biden or whoever is calling the shots for him seem to have abandoned all respect for religious institutions.
If it’s not the Pride flag at the Vatican, it’s attempting to add taxpayer funded abortions to the next budget.
Just this week, Biden called “white supremacists” the greatest threat to America. Yes, racism is bad too, but the guy in the Oval Office seems to be the one who is the greatest threat to the nation.
In four months, we’ve endured a gas shortage, a job shortage, rising inflation, an immigration crisis, and threats of war in the Middle East. But Biden only sees the issues as “challenges.”
These challenges, or whatever he wants to call them, are killing the economy and hurting Americans. We don’t need another flag. The nation needs leadership that respects the American flag and the people it represents.
