Vice President JD Vance just reminded America why he’s one of the most trusted voices in Washington today. In a time when most politicians can’t wait to talk about their next campaign or how they can climb the political ladder, Vance is staying focused on the job he was elected to do—helping President Trump restore America.
During a recent podcast interview on “Pod Force One,” Vance responded to talk about a possible future Vance-Rubio presidential ticket in 2028. And while the media loves to jump ahead and stir up drama, Vance took a different tone—one that speaks to his character and sense of duty.
“I mentioned it to the secretary in jest, but it feels so premature because we’re still so early,” Vance said. And he’s right. We are just a year into President Trump’s second term. There’s work to be done. Big work. The kind of work that doesn’t get headlines but actually helps American families.
Vance made it clear that he’s focused on fixing the real problems that affect everyday Americans. “We’ve got to make life more affordable for American citizens,” he said. “Again, we’ve chipped away at that problem, but there’s a lot more work to do there.”
That’s the kind of leadership we need—someone who isn’t chasing the next title but is laser-focused on delivering results. Under the Trump-Vance administration, we’ve already seen inflation come down, energy production rise, and our borders made more secure. But as Vance said, there’s still more to do.
Now, let’s talk about the other man in the conversation—Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Once a rival of Trump’s back in 2016, Rubio has become one of the most effective and loyal members of this administration. And apparently, one of Vance’s closest allies.
“He and I work a lot together,” Vance said. “A lot of the good work that we’ve been able to do as an administration is because we’re all able to work together.” He even called Rubio his “best friend in the administration.”
Imagine that—a government that works together. No backstabbing. No leaks to the press. Just unity, competence, and shared purpose.
Of course, the media loves to stir the pot. They asked Vance if he thought Rubio would be upset playing “second fiddle” in a potential future campaign. But Vance shut that down fast. “There would be no problem at all,” he said.
That’s because men like Vance and Rubio aren’t trying to play political games. They’re trying to save a country that was nearly destroyed under Joe Biden’s failed leadership. And they’re doing it with humility, teamwork, and a clear sense of mission.
It’s also worth noting that Vance is the clear front-runner in early polling for the 2028 GOP nomination. That shouldn’t surprise anyone. He speaks plainly. He puts America first. And he has the full backing of President Trump—a man who knows how to spot real talent.
But Vance isn’t letting that go to his head. “Let’s at least get through the next couple of years and do good work for the American people before we talk about politics,” he said.
What a refreshing statement. In a swamp full of career politicians who are always looking out for themselves, JD Vance is reminding us what true public service looks like.
So while the media plays fantasy football with the 2028 election, Vice President Vance is staying focused on delivering results. And if that day ever comes when he runs for president, Americans will know they’re getting someone who puts duty before ambition.
That’s how you lead. That’s how you win. That’s how you keep America great.
