What Happens Next After President Trump’s Bogus Conviction in New York?

After America’s real president was found guilty of 34 fake felony counts in a New York courtroom, a lot of people are wondering what happens next. Will he go to jail? Can he still run for president? Can states exclude him from the ballot?

There are easy answers to all these questions, so we’ll dive into those in this article. Also, Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) has made one of the best suggestions we’ve seen yet for how the Republican Party should immediately respond to this destruction of America’s justice system.

First, can Trump still run for president? Absolutely. 100%. There are only three requirements in the Constitution for a person to run for president. He has to be at least 35 years, he has to be a natural born citizen, and he has to have lived in the United States for at least 14 years. Trump fits all those qualifications.

We don’t even enforce the second qualification any longer in this country. As you’ll recall, a Kenyan national recently served as president for the eight years before Trump.

Keep in mind that when the Constitution was written, almost all of the Founding Fathers had been labeled as traitors by the British government and many had been charged with crimes. Many were technically “criminals.” There is no prohibition in the Constitution against a convicted felon running for office, including president.

There’s also precedent for running for president while behind bars. Socialist candidate Eugene Debs did it in 1920.

Next, can states try to kick him off the ballot for being a felon?

No. The Supreme Court already settled that when it swatted down the Colorado Supreme Court. Remember, the Colorado Supreme Court said Trump was guilty of insurrection—a crime he’s never even been charged with. No state is going to kick him off the ballot over this and even if they try, the Supreme Court has already decided the issue.

Will Trump go to jail?

Uh…

Under normal circumstances, a first-time offender in a non-violent and victimless paperwork crime like this would never get jail time. The “crime” simply isn’t important enough to jail some over.

But we’re not dealing with normal, mentally healthy people in this case. Judge Merchan is clearly a lunatic who doesn’t realize that he has probably set the country on a path to an unavoidable civil war that will result in the streets running red with the blood of his fellow Democrats.

He might sentence Trump to prison. If he does, that does not change anything for you as a Trump voter. He can still run for president from a jail cell, and you can still vote for him.

Plus, can you imagine the size of the rallies if Don Jr. stands in for his imprisoned father, the modern-day American Nelson Mandela? We’ll be at that part in the movie where the Japanese military realizes that the nuclear bombs are only making the monster bigger.

Trump’s sentencing is scheduled for July 11. The most time he can get is four years. But most law experts agree he shouldn’t serve anywhere near that amount of time. Most people are predicting Trump will be fined or sentenced to a few days in jail. But again we’re not dealing with normal, mentally healthy people in this case.

July 11th was an interesting pick for Trump’s sentencing by Judge Merchan because its four days before the start of the RNC convention. It’s obviously an election interference stunt for that reason alone. Merchan and the Democrats are probably hoping this will cause chaos at the convention because some weak-willed RINOs might cry out “Well I never!” and object to nominating a convicted felon.

Here’s where Rep. Cory Mills’s great idea comes in. The Democrats are nominating Joe Biden as their nominee before the DNC convention takes place. They’re doing this because they screwed up and failed to get Biden on the Ohio ballot in time. Unless they nominate him early, he won’t even be on the ballot in Ohio.

Trump is not technically a “convicted felon” until the sentencing happens. Rep. Mills has a brilliant solution: Why not nominate Trump before the convention? In fact, nominate him on Independence Day, July 4th.

Instead of allowing the Democrats to say we made a convicted felon our nominee, this would turn it around on them. It would send a message to Judge Merchan that says, “You want to sentence OUR nominee to prison? We effing DARE you!”

That’s a great plan and the RNC should absolutely do it.

  2. As much as I like Trump, he made a huge mistake by not insisting on an investigation into the deals Hunter and Joe Biden pulled off to line their pockets with a number of countries and there should have been investigation into the corrupt FBI that turned a blind eye into those deals. I hope that if Trump does manage to win, he will have an investigation into the corruption the Biden deals are finally brought to those deals with Ukraine, China and other countries. And also the many boxes of papers found in the Biden garage that may have been used for those deals. Joe Biden was not even a President or even a Vice President at the time those papers were taken!

    1. Did he have the authority to demand these investigations into the Biden, the corrupt FBI? Remember he was impeached in a phone call to Ukraine just to get some answers to questions about the prosecutor’s firing.

    2. Exactly! Don’t forget that it”s George Soros and Obama are taken over Biden’s job as president.. We all.know that Biden is not strong enough to be president again. America is in a big mess.

  3. Question what happens if the judge that had Trump convicted has a heart attack and dies who takes over in his place.

  4. We need Trump back in the White House this election. Biden and all his crooked followers belong in prison. Let’s get it done and make America great again the right way.

  5. Let’s make sure that our Marxist leader is replaced this coming November. We want our country back, with a President as per our Constitution, to lead the great USA.. In God We Trust.
    Thanks Big D

  6. Can the House of Representatives (HOR) hold an investigation into the trial and call the expert witness that Trump’ lawyers were unable to hear testimony from? Also can the HOR question the judge for all the irregularities that occurred because of his interference in the trial. Can the HRO question the judge and lawyers for the prosecution because they had a conflict of interest since they were working for Biden’s JOD at some time before the trial. Make them answer for crimes they have committed against the American people because of their loyalty to Merrick Garland. He hates President Donald Trump. They all made no bones about the fact that they hate President Trump.
