Whoa! Did Letitia James Marry Her Dad to Commit Mortgage Fraud?

Uh oh! It looks like the Democrat Party may have another Ilhan Omar situation on their hands. Attorney General Letitia “Get Trump” James from the Great State of New York appears to have married her own father—at least on paper—in order to commit mortgage fraud multiple times.

You probably remember Letitia James as the woman who tried to destroy the Trump Organization in New York. She claimed that President Trump had overvalued his properties to secure more real estate loans. That was a lie, obviously. However, the mortgage fraud that Big Tish is being accused of now makes that pale in comparison.

When Letitia James prosecuted the Trump Organization last year, Judge Arthur Engoron in New York ended up imposing a fine of $453 million against the president. To this day, no one can explain what crime President Trump committed in New York. Big Tish said he “inflated” the value of his properties to secure more loans. This is literally the standard practice in every real estate deal. It’s not a crime!

Plus, Trump fully paid back all those loans and every bank said that it was happy with the result and that they’d love to do business with the Trump Organization again. There was no crime but there was a $453 million penalty (which is still under appeal and will eventually be tossed out).

Attorney General Letitia James owns a multi-family apartment building at Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn. According to internet sleuths who tracked down the documents, Big Tish lists that building as having only four units in her application for a federal HAMP loan. The Certificate of Occupancy for the building says it has five units.

You can’t get a HAMP loan for buildings with more than four units. It appears that Big Tish lied on her refinance application to receive a 2.7% government-backed HAMP loan that’s unavailable for landlords who own buildings with five or more units.

Big Tish also claimed a financial hardship when she applied for the loan, even though she was earning a salary of $126,390 while she was a member of the New York City Council from the 35th District.

But the alleged mortgage malfeasance that Big Tish may have committed looks much worse than that.

In 1983, Big Tish had graduated from college and was living back home with her parents in Brooklyn, Robert and Nellie James. On May 20, 1983, Big Tish and her dad took out a mortgage loan for $30,300 from Kadilac Funding Ltd. to purchase a home for her. They took out the loan as husband and wife.

The initial loan document lists them as “Robert James and Letitia James, His Wife.” It’s written in all capital letters at the top of the loan document and again on the signature page.

The loan was used to buy a little two-story townhome in Queens. The deed for the property has a different designation on it. The deed says the property is owned by “Robert James and Letitia James, His Daughter.”

Big Tish probably wouldn’t have been able to qualify for a home loan on her own as a single woman with no income in 1983. Did she and her father commit mortgage fraud to buy that home?

Kadilac Funding assigned the loan to the Richard Grill Company in Texas in 1983. Once again, that paperwork listed “Robert James and Letitia James, His Wife.” This turns it into a multi-state, multi-jurisdictional example of mortgage fraud. Perhaps Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton should take a look into this situation!

Big Tish sold the little townhome in Queens in May of 2000. The sellers on the document are once again listed as “Robert James and Letitia James, His Wife.”

It seems unlikely that Big Tish married her dad. The other option is that they claimed to be husband and wife in order to commit federal and state mortgage fraud in New York and Texas. Mortgage fraud can include False Representation on a mortgage loan, and Misrepresentation of Relationship, which is defined as “lying about marital status to qualify for better loan terms.”

Texas AG Ken Paxton and US Attorney General Pam Bondi should both take a closer look at Letitia James’s history of alleged mortgage fraud. As Big Tish herself loves to say when looking straight at the television cameras:

“No one is above the law!”
