To impeach, or not to impeach? That is the question top Democrats are asking themselves as the midterm elections fast approach.
They are already plotting their revenge if they manage to retake the House. And their plan? It isn’t to fix the economy, lower your grocery bills, or secure the border. Oh no. It’s to go after Donald Trump, his family, and American businesses.
They are floating impeachment again. Cracks are already forming, though. By openly planning this political witch hunt, they might be biting off more than they can chew.
Maryland Representative Jamie Raskin—the top Judiciary Committee Democrat—is leading the charge. He wants to investigate whether Trump violated the Emoluments Clause. He claims the President was using the office as a “profit-making enterprise.”
“The cardinal, original sin of Trump was to decide that he was going to use the presidency as a profit-making enterprise in his first term, and I would say that Congress should have impeached him for receiving millions and millions of dollars from foreign governments”
Raskin told Semafor that. Just let that sink in. They’ve already tried to impeach him twice on bogus charges, and now they’re plotting round three before the midterms even happen.
But it gets worse. It’s not just Trump they’re after. It’s American companies.
Some Democrats are keen on investigating corporate mergers and breaking up businesses. Senator Ruben Gallego laid it all out.
“Once we take power, whoever the president is, we’re going to break up your companies. So all the investment you did to create these mergers are going to be for naught. Your investors are going to be pissed at you, and you’re likely going to end up getting fired as the CEO because you wasted so much money and corrupted yourself in the process.”
That is a sitting Senator openly threatening American businesses. “We’re going to break up your companies.” It’s pure, unfiltered socialist revenge.
Yet another Democratic faction appears to realize how insane this all sounds. Representative Pete Aguilar, the third-ranking House Democrat, can already see the dilemma taking shape.
“We have to do oversight and accountability, and we have to talk about the affordability agenda, how we’re going to make life better for people if we are given the opportunity to lead, and if we’re given the opportunity to govern”
Aguilar knows that if Raskin and his squad oversell this Trump impeachment fantasy, their base will grow impatient. They will want “accountability” but get none, because Democrats won’t have the Senate votes to convict.
Meanwhile, independent voters—the ones who just want the cost of living to go down—are going to watch this circus unfold. They are going to watch Democrats burn through their political capital to attack Trump just so they can appear as “fighters” to their radical base.
Forget about fixing the healthcare system. Forget about inflation. The Democrats’ only platform is hatred for Donald Trump and a desire to destroy American corporations.
And where will that leave their party? In shambles.
They have learned absolutely nothing. The American people want solutions, and the Democrats are offering nothing but revenge.
