Liberal Authors Accidentally Exonerate President Trump in Georgia RICO Case

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office illegally recorded a phone call with President Donald Trump in early January 2021. That phone call is the basis of Fani Willis’s RICO prosecution of the president and 18 co-defendants in Georgia.

It’s now been confirmed a second time that the phone call was illegally recorded, thus making it inadmissible in a court of law. And in hilarious fashion, it was a pair of Trump-hating liberals who accidentally confirmed the illegality of the call.

Mike Isikoff and Daniel Klaidman have just released their latest frothing-at-the-mouth tome of Trump hatred. Its title is, “Find Me the Votes: A Hard-Charging Georgia Prosecutor, a Rogue President, and the Plot to Steal an American Election.”

Isikoff’s name is probably familiar to many people here, since he was one of the original Russia collusion hoaxers. In addition to being a “journalist,” Isikoff is also a Deep State spook. The FBI fed information to Isikoff from Hillary Clinton’s Russian potty dossier back in 2016. When Isikoff wrote articles related to the Russia hoax based on that false information, the FBI then turned around and used Isikoff’s writings to obtain FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign staffers.

The book from Isikoff and Klaidman goes into painstaking detail about how the phone call between President Trump and Brad Raffensperger went down. Raffensperger’s Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs was also on that phone call.

Ms. Fuchs was the source of many fabricated quotes that the Washington Post was later forced to retract. She was constantly leaking information to the Post. We don’t know whether this was with or without Brad Raffensperger’s knowledge. Also, we don’t want to let Raffensperger off the hook for his role in all of this malfeasance. But when it comes to the illegal recording of that fateful phone call, that was 100% on Jordan Fuchs’s head.

The problem is that Fuchs was not in Georgia at the time when she recorded the call. She was in Florida, which is a two-party consent state. This means it’s illegal for you to record a phone call with someone without their consent. You have to ask and obtain their permission ahead of time to record them.

Fuchs never asked President Trump’s consent to record that phone call. Hence, the recording of the call was illegal, and it cannot be used as evidence in a court of law against any defendant.

Here’s an extremely revealing passage from Isikoff’s book:

“Fuchs has never talked publicly about her taping of the phone call; she learned, after the fact, that Florida where she was at the time is one of fifteen states that requires two-party consent for the taping of phone calls. A lawyer for Raffensperger’s office asked the January 6 committee not to call her as a witness for reasons the committee’s lawyers assumed were due to her potential legal exposure. The committee agreed. But when she was called before a Fulton County special grand jury convened by Fani Willis, she was granted immunity and confirmed the taping, according to three sources with direct knowledge of her testimony.”

There are two big bombshells there. First, the Liz Cheney January 6 Committee agreed to not have Fuchs testify, because Fuchs would have incriminated herself for breaking the law. Second, Fani Willis granted Fuchs immunity from breaking Florida’s two-party consent law to testify before her clown show of a grand jury.

The Gateway Pundit confirmed all of this a year ago. Jordan Fuchs had posted to her Facebook page that she was visiting family and friends in Florida at the time when the phone call took place. Not only was she there, but she recorded the phone call illegally and then leaked fraudulent quotes from the phone conversation to the media. When she almost got caught the first time, she deleted the audio file from her computer. It was later discovered in the trash on her desktop.

The good news is that this is a new avenue by which President Trump and his co-defendants can now call for the Georgia charges to be dismissed. Fani Willis introduced illegally obtained “evidence” to the grand jury to secure the indictments. The courts have always held that illegally obtained evidence is inadmissible.

The bad news is that we now have multiple journalistic sources that have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Georgia’s Deputy Secretary of State broke the law—and the Florida Attorney General’s office has made no move to charge her with a crime. Great job, Republicans!
