Liberals Turn a Tragedy Into a Climate Change Battle

When natural disasters occur, they provide us all an opportunity to put politics to the side. The entire concept of “natural” means that the pain caused by the disaster cannot be attributed to decisions, intellectual leanings or influence of a bias.

By definition, Harvey, a natural disaster, is not a political event. However, liberals are doing everything they can to make it one, as if the conservative ideology is responsible for water and wind destroying the lives of so many.

This is really what liberal media comes down to in the Trump era. It is a shameful thing to watch, but it’s something we are forced to deal with.

In the meantime, the resources that could go towards helping those in need are being redirected in placing blame – blame that is literally impossible to place. For the sake of sanity, however, we must address just a few of the most outrageous liberal media machinations. If you run into any of the following trains of thought, you know that you are about to witness a train wreck.

‘Harvey is Karma’

Former University of Tampa professor Kenneth Storey actually used his position as an educator to call Harvey “karma” for conservatives who he believed voted many people in Texas out of a job. Even if that is your private position, professor, there should be no way that basic educational rigor will allow you to take it into the public sphere.

The University said as much – Storey was fired not long after he made the statement. However, the real problem is people who are supposed to be professional data miners relying on old wives’ tales whenever they become emotional. One is left to wonder how much of this instability leaked into Storey’s classroom lectures and affected his students – for how many generations.

Many kudos to the University of Tampa, which completely deleted Storey’s name from its rolls and shut down his Twitter account. Any victim of Harvey looking at the statements he made might face another pointless emotional trauma.

Shifting All Blame Away from Democrats

Houston was one of the cities most affected by Harvey. Instead of rallying to the homeless and the families of those killed, the first thing the liberal political machine in Houston did was tweet. Yes, it was of the utmost priority for the city government to move blame away from the Democrat mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner.

The mayor definitely mishandled the friction between state and local officials as to whether an evacuation was necessary. Turner was against it; the state was presenting a case for a temporary removal of people from some areas for cleanup and to avoid unexpected accidents. Turner needlessly made these disagreements public, leaving many confused as to whether there were actually evacuation orders given by the state. There were none.

Harvey and Global Warming

One look into any climate statistics will tell you that the Earth tends to create anomalies like hurricanes, earthquakes and the like regardless of a one-degree temperature shift in its atmosphere. Let a liberal explain it, however, and Harvey was a completely avoidable situation – if only everyone agreed on the liberal notion of climate change.

Science on both sides points away from climate change. History on both sides points to liberals like Al Gore using climate change to make hundreds of millions of dollars for themselves (and work side by side with possible Arab extremists). Left-leaning media outlets like CNN say that Harvey is all the fault of Republicans who refuse to discard all of this history and political trending. Classy.

Former Obama advisor Ben Rhodes made the news through Twitter (how else these days?) as he accused Republicans of completely destroying the American educational system to hide global warming. Liberal media ran with it because it was the best they had. Anyone with sense would be asking two questions: 1. Who is this has-been Ben Rhodes, and why is he relevant? and 2. When did he get his degrees in climate science?

Prominent Republicans were actually taking center stage in demanding more federal assistance to those areas affected by Harvey, chief among them former presidential candidate Chris Christie. Most importantly, let us not forget that the focus of every news cycle should be on the relief that we as Americans are providing to the victims of Harvey. This is the natural behavior of a true conservative and patriot in the face of political mudslinging involving a natural disaster.
