Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw had a clear message for the Taliban earlier this week as he railed agains the evacuation deadline set by the Islamic militants now controlling Afghanistan.
“The only proper response from America to these dirty savage terrorists should be,” the former Navy SEAL tweeted. “Go f*** yourself.”
As a combat veteran known for losing his eye to an improved explosive device, you could say that Rep. Crenshaw’s attitude toward the Taliban is a bit more personal than most other lawmakers. The Texas Republican sustained the wound while serving in Afghanistan in 2012.
Crenshaw has gone on to say that there should be no deadline at all for American evacuations, and that the Taliban should just have to deal with that. The former Navy SEAL is one of many lawmakers who have criticized President Joe Biden’s handling of the ordeal. He doubled down on his stance during an interview with Politico on Tuesday.
“We need to send a very clear message to the Taliban: We’re not negotiating about our deadline,” he said. “That should be the message. We should laugh at them when they say, ‘Oh well that’s a red line for us [and] you need to be out by August 31.’ No.”
The lawmaker then took a much more direct tone.
“And if you get in our way when we are extracting Americans, we will kill you. That is the only message that Biden should be delivering to the Taliban.”
Obviously, this is a very different tone from the one we’re hearing from the Biden Administration, which has said that it expects the Taliban to allow Americans to safely evacuate the country. The White House has also stated that it expects the radical Islamists to treat women and girls with decency. This would be laughable if it wasn’t so tragically tone deaf.
Biden’s handling of the disaster in Afghanistan continues to chip away at his popularity, with the majority of Americans disapproving of his actions concluding America’s longest war. Even the mainstream press has been more critical in their coverage of the president lately. Up until this point, it was hard to get the likes of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, or any of the other alphabet networks to be even minimally critical of the Delaware Democrat in office.
There is little question that the Taliban would be acting very differently if the president was using the same language we heard from Rep. Crenshaw this week. Unfortunately, this is what we’ve come to expect from this administration.

As I wrote this post this morning , I spoke of the blood on Biden’s hands.
What I didn’t know was that there would be a catastrophic event involving suicide bombers and afghani civilians and our Marines at the airport in Kabul. The last numbers I heard were 12 marines dead, over 20 critically injured and over 60 Afghani nationals dead.
This illegitimate president and his band of gypsies now have the LEGACY now of making the worst political decisions in our history.
From day one this regime has been out to kill the American dream…. whether it be the on purpose pandemic, killing the oil pipeline, the complete and utter travesties on our southern border and now THIS.

I am a 79 year old RN that retired at age 75 due to a massive heart attack. This is absolutely the worst thing I have ever seen happen to America. First toff, electing a man that obviously has Alzheimer’s Disease was a huge mistake. The Taliban/ISIS is a huge threat to the USA. Remember 9/11 in NYC. the Pentagon and Pennsylvania ?? It appears that most of America has forgotten about the attack on our country. We are losing allies right and left over Biden’s bad decisions. He and his partner Kamela should both be impeached immediately. Course that leaves us with the thought of Nancy Pelosi as President but we can hope that the current rumblings of her demise as Speaker would come through and a reasonable person would be placed as Speaker. For sure Donald Trump would not leave Americans to fend for themselves in a terrorist country. If other countries can go and get their residents out of their homes why can’t the USA?
