Socialist Streamer Hasan Piker Gets Served a Big Fat Federal Subpoena Over His Little Cuba Vacation

Internet-famous socialist streamer Hasan Piker just had his Saturday ruined by a federal subpoena, and honestly, we couldn't be happier about it. The Departments of Justice, State, and Treasury have all taken a keen interest in Piker's little March 2026 solidarity junket to Cuba — you know, the communist island paradise where dissidents get thrown in prison and the healthcare is supposedly world-class if you don't mind dying in a hallway.

But sure, Hasan, tell us more about how real communism has never been tried.

As reported by Townhall, federal officials subpoenaed Piker over a probe into whether he and up to 40 other American nationals provided support to the Cuban regime during their trip. We're not talking about bringing back cigars and rum here, folks. The feds want to know if these "activists" violated sanctions by financing, coordinating with, or delivering goods directly to Cuban officials.

The trip was reportedly connected to the Democratic Socialists of America and CodePink, because of course it was. Nothing says "grassroots activism" like jetting off to a communist dictatorship with your fellow trust-fund revolutionaries.

And here's where it gets even better. The alleged money man behind this whole operation? A guy named Neville Singham, described as a "Marxist tech giant" who has apparently been bankrolling these Cuba love affairs. A Marxist tech giant. Let that phrase roll around in your brain for a second. The man made his fortune in the capitalist system and now spends it propping up regimes that would nationalize his company in a heartbeat.

You can't make this stuff up.

CodePink cofounder Medea Benjamin — born Susan Medea Benjamin, because even her name is a rebrand — also got served in this little federal dragnet. Benjamin has spent decades cozying up to every anti-American regime with a functioning printing press, so this was probably inevitable.

The timing here is exquisite. This all comes on the heels of former Cuban leader Raul Castro's federal indictment for conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals. So while these American leftists were over there playing revolutionary tourist, the guy running the show was allegedly plotting to murder Americans.

Great travel companions, Hasan.

Federal officials have indicated that more subpoenas are expected. That means Piker and Benjamin might just be the appetizer. Somewhere out there, up to 38 other "solidarity" travelers are checking their mailboxes with sweaty palms.

Here's the bottom line: you can stream socialist propaganda to your millions of followers all day long. That's your First Amendment right, and God bless America for it. But when you physically travel to a sanctioned communist nation and allegedly start handing over goods and coordinating with the regime? That's not free speech. That's a federal crime.

Welcome to accountability, comrade. The process server doesn't care about your subscriber count.
