Hundreds of 2020 Election Ballots Discovered in MI Storage Locker 2 Years Later

Every time someone turns over a rock related to the 2020 election, they uncover more malfeasance and cheating by the side that supposedly got (LOL) 81 million votes.

“The Steal” was multifaceted and hit the election results from every possible angle. It was too much to even keep up with. And to this day, there is still new evidence being uncovered all the time. Somebody just found hundreds of 2020 election ballots in a storage locker in Michigan, for example.

Rachel Stanke, the town supervisor in Thetford Township, says she first heard about the box of missing ballots back in 2021. She contacted the Michigan attorney general and the secretary of state’s office, but of course, they did nothing at all because 2020 was the safest and most secure election ever. Stanke later called the Michigan State Police when she realized she was getting the runaround about these missing ballots.

Stanke finally filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and discovered that a box with 300 ballots was in a storage locker that was rented by a former Thetford Township employee, whose name is redacted in all of the paperwork on this.

It turns out that there were 300 ballots in the rented storage locker. The state police are investigating, and they say that most of the ballots appear to be spoiled.

Stanke revealed her findings at a township meeting last week. She says she wants the voters to be able to trust the fairness and transparency of their elections, which we keep hearing repeatedly from people running our shoddy elections. “That’s why I want to bring this to their attention,” she said. “And I want them to be able to make sure that their elections are run fairly and smoothly.”

Because nothing screams fairness and smoothness like renting a storage locker in a nearby county and stuffing a box of ballots in it!

The thing about spoiled ballots is that ballots are incredibly easy to spoil in an election. All you have to do is have a moment alone with the ballot, such as when you kick all the election observers out of the room. If a ballot is cast for Donald Trump, an unsupervised election worker can mark the ballot for Joe Biden as well and voila! Spoiled ballot. There’s no way to tell which candidate the voter intended to vote for, and then you can put the spoiled Trump ballot in a box and stuff it in a rented storage locker for almost 3 years unnoticed.

If your ballot is spoiled in Michigan, you’re supposed to be notified so that you can have a new one mailed to you, or you can go through the cumbersome process of picking one up in person.

“Say they didn’t receive their ballot, or they lost it, or their dog ate it. They would have to come into the township and write a letter, I believe, show their ID and be issued a new ballot,” said Stanke.

Oh, is that all?

It’s only about 300 questionable ballots, you might think. What’s the big deal?

Well, Thetford Township has a population of around 7,000 people, and only about 4,800 of them vote in elections. Katie Hicks ran for the position of Thetford Township Clerk in 2020, and she lost by 19 votes. She says she doesn’t trust the integrity of the elections at all anymore, and can you blame her?

“Now this is all coming out and … I’m kind of happy that it’s coming out because the election is right around the corner again. And it concerns me that this will take place again for 2024,” says Hicks.

Like most stories related to the 2020 election, this one stinks to high heaven. Anyone who has ever worked in local government can tell you that it’s illegal to store city records in a personal storage locker. They get lectured about this all the time.

The fact that these ballots were in a personal storage locker makes it look like suppression of voter fraud, even when trying to give election workers the benefit of the doubt.

Someone needs to go to jail for this, otherwise there’s nothing stopping election workers from simply doing the same thing again. You can’t even tell when those ballots were spoiled, because the chain of custody is so badly broken on them.

When your election system is so chaotic that hundreds of missing ballots end up in an off-site storage locker, it’s time for major reforms. Voter ID. Paper ballots. Same-day elections. Period.
