You can scrub the globalism off of a Republican presidential candidate’s Wikipedia bio, but you can’t take the globalism out of the candidate’s heart. That’s the message that Republican voters should take away from GOP primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s appearance on a Twitter Spaces event over the weekend.
Ramaswamy stated that it was a mistake for President Trump to pull the US out of the Transpacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement that was drafted by Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Barack Obama. There it is. Vivek Ramaswamy has shown his true self: a globalist.
Part of the reason why President Trump was so successful at economic issues is because he understands the issues of so-called “free trade.” A bilateral trade agreement in which two countries make a deal that is mutually beneficial is good for American workers. A multinational trade agreement like the TPP is a disaster for America, because it’s a race to the bottom in terms of wages.
Here’s a real-world example of how these multinational “free trade” agreements impact Americans. In 2009, I moved my family to a small town on the East Coast. The largest employer in that town was a furniture manufacturing plant. It had 450 workers making a good middle-class wage building “Made in America” furniture products.
A month after we moved there, the company that owned the plant shut it down, fired all 450 workers, and shipped all the jobs overseas to a country where they could pay the workers lower wages. Within a year, the town was gutted. There were no jobs to replace the ones that had been lost. Two of the town’s three grocery stores shut down, because so many families had moved away to find work elsewhere. It was a cascade of job losses far beyond the furniture plant. The support businesses that existed to serve those 450 workers with good-paying jobs all went under.
The same thing has happened across the Rust Belt, the Ohio Valley and other pockets of the US. Small towns with factories are gutted when the owners ship the jobs overseas.
Globalists like Vivek Ramaswamy will tell you that multinational “free trade” agreements always benefit both countries. That’s just a lie. It benefits the companies that can afford to ship their operations overseas, to countries like China or Vietnam or Brunei where they pay their workers slave wages. American middle-class workers can’t compete with slaves in other countries.
Free trade hurts American communities, because it’s a race to the bottom when it comes to wages. It also hurts us because it opens up immigration pathways in both directions for labor. How many Americans have moved to India because of our free trade agreements with them? Meanwhile, how many Indians have moved to America? See how that works?
On the Twitter Spaces meeting this past weekend, Ramaswamy stated that he would get America back into the TPP if elected president. “I think we should re-enter it,” he told Elon Musk. “I think this is a little bit different than what, you know, the course of action taken by Trump in exiting the TPP [Trans-Pacific Partnership]. I think that was actually a poor decision.”
Just as a reminder, Vivek Ramaswamy went to Yale Law School on a Soros Fellowship. George Soros paid for his law degree. As a pharmaceutical executive, Ramaswamy allegedly bilked investors of $300 million when he bought the patents for a failed Merck drug and then used his smooth-talking ways to convince people that this failed drug was really going to take off. When he short-sold the stock, Ramaswamy, his brother, and his mommy made a fortune.
Ramaswamy is also the first anchor baby to run for President of the United States. His parents were Hindu immigrants from India and were not legal US citizens when he was born. Vivek Ramaswamy is only an “American” because of the insane anchor baby policy which was never voted on by Congress or the American people.
Good grief, how many flashing red warning signs do some Republican voters need? Vivek is an anchor baby, he’s a pharmaceutical exec who allegedly ripped off investors, he supports offshoring American jobs through the TPP and George Soros paid for him to go to college. Yet somehow, Ramaswamy is leading Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in some states for the Republican presidential nomination.

America can’t take a chance a long shot choice like Vivek at this point in History. Heck, most of the democrats agree they can’t take a chance on Biden again.
Besides, young Vivek hasn’t been indicted for anything. If he was up to fighting Biden, he would have been charged with something by now.

He was born in the U.S. His parents were not American citizens when he was born. He is referred to as an anchor baby and recognized as a citizen. I cannot with this condition. There is a lot of controversy over this. This is horrific. All children born in America to ILLEGAL immigrants who are not citizens will be considered anchor babies and will be recognized as citizens. Hopefully, this will change if the right person is elected in 2024.
