The double-digit field of Democrat presidential hopefuls has conveniently shifted debates on the issues to the party’s “identity politics” brand and attack on the White House. The recent dustup between President Donald Trump and Congressman Elijah Cummings highlights that Democrats immediately push false narratives to skirt real issues.
“Baltimore’s numbers are the worst in the United States on Crime and the Economy,” Trump tweeted. “Billions of dollars have been pumped in over the years, but to no avail. The money was stolen or wasted. Ask Elijah Cummings where it went. He should investigate himself with his Oversight Committee!”
Rep. Cummings and his fellow Democrats called this pushback by the president “racist,” and the complicit fake news media has been happy to buoy the lie. The facts are that Baltimore’s crime rate has skyrocketed. The city is on pace to break its record for murders, and a high number of families live in poverty.
Facts continue to be an inconvenient problem for Democrat presidential hopefuls as well. These are three you should know about.
1: So-Called “Migrant Cages” were Built By Obama (and Creepy Joe Biden)
California Sen. Kamala Harris and South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg have been particularly vocal about migrant detention centers. Knowing the biased media will repeat their false narrative, the pair have sidestepped the truth about these detention centers.
“You look at the fact that this is a president who has pushed policies that’s been about putting babies in cages at the border in the name of security when in fact what it is, is a human rights abuse being committed by the United States government,” Sen. Harris said.
“We should call out hypocrisy when we see it. For a party that associates itself with Christianity to say it is OK to suggest that God would smile on the division of families at the hands of federal agents, that God would condone putting children in cages,” the mayor said.
But the hypocrisy is sitting right in the pair’s lap. These and other Democrats are well aware that these are Obama-built cages, and the photos circulated to condemn the Trump Administration were taken during the previous administration. Biden has also chimed in on family separations associated with the crisis at the border. He’s conveniently left out the fact the team Obama-Biden set a record 3 million deportations that sent families members back to their home country while others remained in the U.S.
2: Fauxcahontas’ Claims About the Economy Need a DNA Test
Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has been running around like Chicken Little claiming the economy is falling. Her claims are patently false, and an obvious effort to deal with the reality that America First policies are working.
“When I look at the economy today, I see a lot to worry about. I see a manufacturing sector in recession. A generation of stagnant wages and rising costs for basics like housing, childcare, and education forced American families to take on more debt than ever before,” Sen. Warren said. “Whether it’s this year or next year, the odds of another economic downturn are high — and growing.”
What Fauxcahontas doesn’t want you to know is that household incomes have reportedly risen by 6.8 percent, and household debt is declining. In fact, families are carrying 3 percent less debt. What Fauxcahontas doesn’t want you to know is: The last time the manufacturing sector posted negative output was during the Obama Administration.
3: Medicare for All and Your Tax Bill
Vermont Sen. “Crazy” Bernie Sanders has been a long-standing advocate for universal health care. In the runup to the 2020 election, most Democrat presidential hopefuls have some form of free health care.
“Medicare for All would reduce overall health care spending in our country,” Sen. Sanders routinely states.
But the facts are that so-called “free” healthcare could prove overwhelmingly expensive. Although Sen. Sanders claims Medicare for All would save $2 trillion over 10 years, independent studies point to escalating health care costs paid through taxation. What Crazy Bernie doesn’t want you to know is that the study he often points to that shows everyday Americans’ saving money was written by one of his supporters. How convenient.
