Attorney General Bill Barr is leaving the Trump Administration during what appears to be President Donald Trump’s final days in office.
“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House,” Trump tweeted. “Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family…”
The announcement follows reports Barr would resign in the weeks ahead. His resignation concludes a downward spiral from serving as one of Trump’s strongest allies to bailing on the election fraud investigation and mishandling the controversial Hunter Biden investigation.
In an interview with the Associated Press three weeks after the presidential election, Barr reported he had “not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.” Yet in Antrim County, Michigan, a small northern Republic hub, a Dominion voting machine software problem initially flipped more than 2,500 votes from Trump to Biden. Dominion’s voting machines are used in approximately 30 states.
In addition, the Fulton County, Georgia Suitcasegate video revealed an unsupervised Democrat poll worker scanning thousands of ballots pulled from suitcases and boxes hidden under tables in the early morning hours after the election. The video even appears to show multiple scans of the same ballots. The alleged individual in the case is currently under criminal investigation.
Trump had also expressed anger regarding Barr’s handling of the explosive Hunter Biden case. The Justice Department was investigating Hunter Biden long ahead of the presidential election, yet the information was not publicly revealed until after election day.
The President tweeted, “Why didn’t Bill Barr reveal the truth to the public, before the Election, about Hunter Biden. Joe was lying on the debate stage that nothing was wrong, or going on – Press confirmed. Big disadvantage for Republicans at the polls!”
In addition to issues of voter fraud and the Hunter Biden investigation, Barr was also criticized for his refusal to investigate former President Barack Obama. Trump labeled the lack of investigation a double standard following Democrat efforts to impeach President Trump.
Barr responded in defense, stating, “We live in a very divided country right now, and I think that it is critical that we have an election where the American people are allowed to make a decision, a choice between President Trump and Vice President Biden, based on a robust debate of policy issues and we cannot allow this process to be hijacked by efforts to drum up criminal investigations of either candidate.”
Barr clearly sought to avoid controversies that would support President Trump’s reelection campaign. Regardless, his resignation letter highlighted many notable Trump accomplishments. Barr concluded his letter, “As discussed, I will spend the next week wrapping up a few remaining matters important to the Administration and depart on December 23rd.”
Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen will serve as Acting Attorney General. He has served in his current position in the Trump administration since May 16, 2019. Rosen will serve less than 30 days prior to Biden’s scheduled inauguration date. Biden has not yet publicly announced his own Attorney General nominee.

A lot of strange things are going on. It was stated in 2016 that the CIA has the capability to hack computers and make it look like it was another country. Recently, it’s been reported that another country hacked into government systems. I’m wondering if the CIA is behind that and making it look like, say, Russia. And could it have been them that hacked the Dominion system. They would have learned about the ability to hack it from their investigation into Venezuela.

Ex-AG Bill Barr is a huge disappointment for me. He came in as a strong horse and is going out as a weak jackass. He could have built a huge, respected reputation, but he has squandered his political capital (however little he had) and now has proven himself to be a backstabber of the POTUS and the American people.
