After Texas Senator Ted Cruz recently retweeted one of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tweets about the “Reddit Rebellion” stating that he fully agreed, AOC wasted no time in “clapping back” that she wanted nothing from the Senator who “tried to have her killed” other than his resignation.
So much for the calls for unity. Additionally, Twitter didn’t see fit to “fact check” this post or label it as one containing potentially false or misleading information. In other words, the left bias in media and social media continues.
While the media remains radio silent on the implications of a sitting member of Congress accusing another of attempting to have her murdered, other lawmakers have rallied in support of Senator Cruz.
Texas Republican Chip Roy has asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to intervene and force AOC to apologize for the offensive tweet. It should be noted that Roy disapproved of Cruz’s concerns over electors and expressed grave concerns over events that led up to January 6th, including vocal condemnation and criticism of President Trump for the speech he gave before the Capitol was overrun.
That aside, his letter to Pelosi stated that it was “completely unacceptable behavior for a Member of Congress to make this kind of scurrilous charge against another member in the House or Senate for simply engaging in speech and debate regarding electors as they interpreted the Constitution.”
Since then, 12 additional Members of Congress have joined Congressman Roy in signing the letter. These Members include five additional Texans — Representatives Randy Weber, Pat Fallon, Pete Sessions, Michael Burgess, and Ronny Jackson. Also signing the letter were Representatives Ted Budd and Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Jody Hice of Georgia, Doug LaMalfa of California, Barry Moore of Alabama, Yvette Herrell of New Mexico, and Jeff Duncan of South Carolina.
What does this say about Biden’s calls for unity that not a single Democrat has joined in the calls for an apology or condemnation of AOC’s statements? Only that his sentiments appear to be mere lip service.
The bottom line is that Republicans appear to be the ones offering olive branches in this situation. The olive branches are being slapped back ungraciously. In addition to accusing Senator Cruz of trying to have her murdered, AOC later accused him of attempting to share in her clout and ordered him off her Twitter feed.
Critics have let it be known that Twitter’s lack of response is also repugnant with Tweets from the Media Research Center @theMRC stating that if Trump had lied like AOC they would have shut him down. Conservative talk show host Steve Crowder also noted that claims like that, without proof, are libel and accused AOC of considering herself “above the law.”
AOC is a threat to the security and safety of the USA. Remove this TERRORIST from office now.
AOC is out of line and should apologize! She is lucky that Senator Cruz is willing to accept an apology and that further actions are not being taken for her unacceptable actions! She is not above the law, nor are any other Democrats!

Agree if AOC’s lying statement about Cruz trying to kill her isn’t inflammatory tell me what is. If Democrats could not come up with some delusional lie like Pelosi Schumer, AOC and their ilk did using the disruption in the Capital building on Trump as a disparate tool to impeach him they couldn’t do anything.
