Biden’s gang of climate radicals has set its sights on yet another appliance – looking to make Americans suffer even more under the guise of saving the weather.
The President’s Department of Energy (DOE) is looking to crack down on… hot water heaters!
Newly announced plans by the DOE suggest that Biden’s people intend to begin limiting the amount of power which any given household can use to heat water for showers, bathtubs and kitchen uses.
The new rule seeks to tighten requirements for water heaters, dictating that “most common-sized electric water heaters to achieve efficiency gains with heat pump technology and gas-fired instantaneous water heaters to achieve efficiency gains through condensing technology.”
“Today’s actions — together with our industry partners and stakeholders — improve outdated efficiency standards for common household appliances, which is essential to slashing utility bills for American families and cutting harmful carbon emissions,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said in a statement.
Joe’s DOE claims that these new regulations would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by roughly 500 million tons over a 30-year period. They also claim that the forced change would save consumers $11 billion annually on utility bills – but, per usual, they’re not exactly being honest!
This new change would force cheaper gas water heaters off of the market for consumers and force them into paying MORE MONEY for an inferior electric product to save the weather for climate fanatics.
Republican Rep. Thomas Massie slammed the Biden administration while insisting that they should just “leave us alone.”
Massie argued that said the high cost of the new appliances being forced on us will only HURT the American people.
“These products already exist in the free market,” the congressman said. “Consumers should decide whether the upfront cost of a heat-pump water heater is worth the possible long-term savings. In many cases, the monthly savings never make up for the upfront cost of the equipment.”
According to the DOE, this new rule would go into effect in 2029 if adopted within they timeline they set forward. But their proposal is still subject to be revised at any time before then – meaning they could really change it in WHATEVER way they want.
The Biden administration has already instituted a number of radical rule changes along these lines, finalizing or proposing 18 different efficiency standards for a variety of products, including gas stoves, air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators.
“It’s just spreading to more and more appliances,” Ben Lieberman, senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute said. “It seems that almost everything that plugs in or fires up around the house is either subject to a pending regulation or soon will be.”
“These rules are almost always bad for consumers for the simple reason that they restrict consumer choice,” he added.
The Biden administration won’t stop until they gain control over EVERY aspect of our lives!

ALL new Biden home appliance regulations must be approved by Congress after these appliances must be first tested by the White House. Also every Congress member must under take a 5 years test periods in their offices and homes at their own cost. Also all US government agency Directors must also do such 5 year testing in their offices and homes at their own cost. At the end of the 5 years testing must be analyzed by an external independent organization and the full report be made available to all US citizens at no cost.
