Joe Biden and his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have been gradually getting more and more bold with the types of things they’re looking to outlaw in the name of “fighting climate change,” but this time it’s an outright attempt to SABOTAGE AMERICA!
What started out as bans on things like gas stoves and ceiling fans over time turned into bans on gas-powered cars and now, Biden and his team of radicals have set their sights on a much bigger target – COAL!
Biden’s EPA announced a new set of rules which they hope will bring about the END of America’s reliance on coal as a source of power FOR GOOD.
The absurd new rules force coal-fired power plants to either stop burning coal entirely by the year 2034 or be forced to abide by an egregious new set of emission standards that would effectively force them out of business.
According to the rules, a “new compliance path” for coal-fired power plants means they “will be able to continue meeting existing requirements instead of the requirements contained in this final regulation” if they comply with the 2034 deadline.
The agency claims that the move “will have minimal effects on electricity prices,” but “provide billions of dollars in health and environmental benefits each year.”
“These water quality, health, and environmental improvements,” it explained, “will benefit environmental justice communities that are disproportionately affected by pollution from coal-fired power plants.”
However, their claim about this war on coal having “minimal” effects on the prices consumers are forced to pay is a complete LIE.
As of 2022 coal accounted for roughly 20% of all of America’s electricity production. Since Biden got into office the EPA has been going after coal plants in one way or another and Americans have most certainly been paying for it via their insanely high electricity bills.
It’s worth noting that while the Biden regime is working diligently to destroy America’s coal industry, his masters over in China have been INCREASING their reliance on it.
In 2022 China counted on coal for 63% of their electricity generation and they increased coal power capacity even more in 2023.
Even with Biden using tax-payer money to hand out massive subsidies to “clean energy” companies – the majority of which are conveniently controlled by the Chinese Communist Party – to fill the void left behind by defunct coal plants, they’ve been unable to do so which is part of the reason why we’ve seen electricity prices shoot up.
The EPA is pretending that their goal in doing this is to reduce pollution from these critical American power plants by 90%, but the reality of what this will accomplish is much more dangerous.
On top of putting roughly 42,000 coal-related jobs at risk, Biden’s EPA is putting our nation’s energy security in danger by forcing us to adopt much less tested and reliable means of energy production as China embraces the industry that Joe and his people are telling us is “bad” for us.
Leftists like CNN Chief Climate Correspondent Bill Weir are bragging about this being “the end of coal as a power source in the United States.”
And the timing could not possibly be worse.
This EPA move would severely undercut America’s ability to produce the energy it needs while the very same agency forces Americans to embrace Electric Vehicles – most of which get their power from coal plants and use MORE ENERGY than traditional vehicles!
West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito pointed out that, “electricity demand is set to skyrocket thanks in part to the EPA’s own electric vehicles mandate, and unfortunately, Americans are already paying higher utility bills under President Biden.”
She continued, “Despite all this, the administration has chosen to press ahead with its unrealistic climate agenda that threatens access to affordable, reliable energy for households and employers across the country.”
Along with this terrifying set of rules, the Biden regime announced it would devote $140 million to help West Virginia fight “racist pollution.”
The Department of the Interior said that they would be funneling $140 million into West Virginia as “part of the Biden-Harris administration’s unprecedented investments in communities and workers to support an equitable transition to a sustainable economy and healthier environment after the closure of mines or power plants.”
“This effort also advances the President’s Justice40 Initiative that sets a goal to deliver 40 percent of the overall benefits of certain federal investments to disadvantaged communities that have been historically marginalized by underinvestment and overburdened by pollution.”

Tell where the logic of this asnine thinking of taxing an Electrical system which is already unstable with additional unproven Solar and wind systems. I also wonder WHY the Gov. will offer tax incentives to contractors and the public to invest in these programs but CANNOT OFFER income tax breaks to taxpayers. If the Gov. would spend the money to update/upgrade the Electrical Grid first then mandate consumption would be understandable
Little effect on electricity costs? Untrue. We already suffered when Obama had clamped down with regulations against coal use during his and VP Biden timein office. This state went from$200/month utilities, or less, to $750-1300/month! County meetings were held re the unaffordable bills after our coal plants shut down because of unattainable regulations. One woman spoke out tearfully, saying just herself, her husband, and son lived in a small INSULATED rambler and their electricity bill had skyrocketed to $1200/ month when coal electricity ended. She was having to forgo her cardiac meds to pay the new electricity bills level. Mine, another insulated home normally running $110-150 electric bill, had increased to $650-750. I’ve lived in the frigid north in a 3500 SF house and NEVER heard of bills that high (and yes, I use energy efficient bulbs and turn of lights in rooms I am not in).
So this is the MINIMAL EFFECT THEY PROMISE? Many here have gone to NOT USING their furnaces, only running a small space heater in the room we are in, moving it as we use different rooms. Bills still over $200.

The whole government including democrats and Republicans, get rid of anyone that has been there for over 6 years. They are all in bed with something. All crooks. That’s why we left England.
