At a time when Joe Biden is seemingly obsessed with starting wars all across the globe, the Democrat leader has once again made it clear how little respect he has for the American soldiers who he expects to fight in those wars!
More than 1,000 American troops have reported being held hostage in the chaotic nation of Niger and they say it’s entirely President Biden’s fault.
Despite supplies running low, with no access to clean drinking water or medical supplies, President Biden is forcing the U.S. servicemembers to remain holed up at an abandoned airport in Niger. At the same time the military junta-controlled government has been DEMANDING that the American soldiers leave immediately. To say things are tense and on the precipice of war would be an understatement.
Needless to say, U.S. troops lives are being put in danger for absolutely no reason!
Meanwhile, top Biden admin officials have been trying to hide the reality of this situation from EVERYONE for awhile now. Not even the troops families were aware of the desperate situation until this week. They kept asking military leaders why their husbands and wives weren’t returning despite their deployments ending, but weren’t getting any answers.
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz said that these American soliders are “in effect, hostages of an indecisive Commander-in-Chief.”
“Our troops are currently sitting on a powder keg caused by political indecision at the top of the Department of State and Department of Defense. With a military junta in charge — who detests our presence and considers us unserious and predatory — the situation seems to be setting the groundwork for catastrophic diplomatic collapse like we saw during the 2012 Benghazi attack. Additionally, these troops are already running short on necessary, life-saving supplies, such as blood and medications,” Gaetz’s office said.
The U.S. troop presence became threatened after the military junta declared it had taken over the country on July 26, 2023.
Just a few months before, Secretary of State Antony Blinken celebrated Niger as “a model of resilience, a model of democracy, a model of cooperation.” Reading between the lines that would mean Niger was likely as corrupt as the Biden regime is.
The junta declared in March 2024 a cancellation of the military accords with the U.S., after a series of apparently FAILED meetings with Assistant Secretary of State Molly Phee and U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Commander Marine Gen. Michael Langley, according to the report.
After a number of failed efforts by the Biden regime, our service members are now stuck in the middle between a brain-dead Biden State Department and a hostile Nigerian military that successfully pulled off a coup.
As a result, attempts to resupply our troops with even the most basic of necessities have been thwarted by Niger’s military and yet, the troops remain.
“Personnel rotations for service members have been halted, leaving our troops stranded without any indication of relief or return home, as replacements [aren’t] authorized to enter Niger,” Gaetz office said.
As the situation on the ground continues to grow more dire by the day for our troops, the Biden regime is suggesting they have no plans on getting them out of there anytime soon.
Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Celeste Ann Wallander testified to Congress in March that the junta’s demands for U.S. troops to leave “is actually quite a mixed message,” while bizarrely adding that American military forces are “protected,” by the same people demanding they leave.
If there’s one thing the Joe Biden and his team of buffoons have done consistently, it’s put American lives at risk.
But this time around with over 1,000 American lives in serious danger as a direct result of his horrid leadership, this could prove to be one of – if not THE – biggest failures of Biden’s political career.
I say those troops should get out any way they can. Biden has lost what few marbles he may have had
