President Joe Biden has reversed his previous order to fly flags at half-staff in honor of fallen police officers — bowing once again to the demands of the radical leftists who hate America.
Biden previously released a statement that flags would be flown at half-staff as part of Police Week from May 9-15. After pressure from constituents, he released a second statement that read:
“Please find attached an updated Presidential Proclamation honoring the Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week 2021. The flags will remain full-staff on May 15,2021.”
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu tweeted in response, “This is outrageous and precedent breaking.”
He added, “On May 10th, the Biden Administration announced in a release flags would be flying at Half Staff across the country to honor our heroes on the front line. Tonight, in the eleventh hour, the Biden Administration is now no longer calling for flags to fly at Half Staff.
“New Hampshire will continue to honor the men and women who have died or been injured in the line of duty by flying flags at Half Staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day as we have always done, and as is right.
“New Hampshire’s law enforcement are the best in the country, and they are owed an explanation for this sudden reversal. I call on New Hampshire’s congressional delegation to join with me in rejecting this disrespectful decision.”
At least one governor gets it. Biden may bow to pressure from those who despise the police who protect our communities, but Sununu recognizes the truth. Without our police, we would be in a far worse situation as Americans.
The Biden administration is hard to understand when it comes to protecting America. First, Biden signed executive orders that led to a flood of illegal immigrants pouring across our southern border. We’re currently on track for one million illegal immigrants before the end of 2021.
In addition, he ended the Keystone XL Pipeline and the Trump border wall, instantly eliminating thousands of jobs. Throw in some other climate changes initiatives that have led to inflated gas prices, and we now have an economy quickly looking like the Obama economy and may soon resemble the Carter economy.
Next, Biden’s leadership has provided ongoing support of Black Lives Matter, Antifa and related movements while calling conservatives domestic terrorists. The administration has even evaluated D.C.’s national guard troops to see which one supported Trump and could be a threat during the inauguration.
Now Biden has turned his back on America’s police force. Instead of supporting those who protect our communities, he’s disrespecting law enforcement during the week they were to be honored.
What’s next? Will the unvaccinated have to take separate buses than the vaccinated? Oh, wait, vaccinated and unvaccinated are already divided at Mets and Yankees baseball games. Instead of discrimination in the south as in the segregation days, we’re facing a liberal-conservative divide.
America needs leadership that puts Americans first, especially the Americans in law enforcement who protect us. Anything less is, like Sununu said, is “outrageous.”
