The fake news media blitzed the American landscape with propaganda almost exclusively targeting GOP-run states. While downplaying the crisis in states such as Michigan, New Jersey, and Massachusetts may have provided cover for their political party, California has been unable to stem the rising COVID-19 tide. The fake news and establishment media’s ability to conceal disturbing facts about the Golden State appears to be coming to an end.
Following the irresponsible George Floyd protests, upwards of 30,000 Californians crammed into city streets. Often shoulder to shoulder and not wearing protective masks, the leader in fake news — CNN — had the audacity to run articles that directly contradicted scientific facts and CDC warnings: “Black Lives Matter protests have not led to a spike in coronavirus cases, research says.”
But reports based on infection rates tell a vastly different story. California recently experienced one of the worst upticks in sicknesses since the pandemic began at a rate of 69 percent in only a few days. While much of the country has worked into Phase I or II, California has not seen any sign of even a plateau, nevermind a decline. Its only recorded contagion dips last less than three days in most cases. Those slight declines are associated with reporting lags and have been promptly followed by increases. The country’s most populated state was largely shielded by President Donald Trump’s early travel ban with China. California didn’t top 1,000 in new cases until late March. Now it ranks only behind New York as the second-worst with more than 240,000 cases and rising.
With Gov. Gavin Newsome unable to contain the virus in any way, the Pentagon issued a ban on military service members traveling to California, along with Florida and Michigan. Despite the constant fake news targets on GOP-run Texas, the Pentagon has allowed military personnel to travel there and every other state except California, Michigan, and Florida. Michigan and California have seen staggering spikes and have shuttered businesses.
Since the protests began in major West Coast cities, COVID-19 has spread like wildfire shattering recent infection and death rates. More than 6,000 new cases and 63 fatalities are being reported every day. Los Angeles County surged with a 39-percent increase in the two weeks. Nearly 80 percent of the deaths have been senior citizens who have contracted the virus due to the irresponsible actions of others.
“Californians need to remain vigilant and act responsibly,” Gov. Newsom reportedly tweeted. “Covid-19 has not gone away. Do your part to slow the spread. Wear a mask.”
What’s particularly disturbing about such warnings is that Democrat leaders have cheered on protestors during the pandemic.
“Protesters have the right not to be harassed,” Gov. Newsom had also said. “Protesters have the right to protest peacefully. Protesters have the right to do so without being arrested, gassed, being shot at by projectiles.”
The fake news and establishment media appear to be contributing to the problem by not providing fact-based information. According to the CDC, the 10 worst areas in terms of deaths per 100,000 people are New York City (275.1), New Jersey (168.8), Connecticut (121), Massachusetts (116.7), Rhode Island (89.9), District of Columbia (78.9), New York State (77.9), Louisiana (69.1), Michigan (62), Illinois (55.9), all under Democrat “leadership.” But make no mistake about it, California is currently on a collision course that will devastate the population and exceed even New York.
It would seem that what is happening in this country, both with the virus and the criminal vandals, the miscreants that are destroying our history, is a result of the irresponsible fake news. The media has completely ignored any effort to be objective and report what is actually happening. They continually refer to the riotous destructive mobs as “protestors”. They refuse to cover the negatives of the blue states and, like CNN, lie about events. The best thing to do is completely ignore most media outlets and stick to the very few that are credible.

Where is any data backing up the increase of virus outbreaks? Is it the testing of so many showing positive ? Have these persons survived the virus and have antibodies? Are hospitals being overwhelmed? Are many persons on ventilators? All we keep being told is the virus is spreading with no other information. This virus did not spread during the riots? Investigations need to be done now.

I moved from CA to NV 11 years ago because the taxes and politics were totally out of control. I couldn’t imagine it getting any worse but under Garbage Nuisance and his commie administration it has fallen further downhill by leaps and bounds. Trouble is, CA is right next door and every weekend we are flooded with their cars and residents all over LV. NV should monitor and temperature check all out of state people at the main entry points to NV and turn around anyone whose temperature is high or is showing other signs of illness. But we have a weak useless Dem governor here in NV also and he won’t do squat to protect Nevadans from sick visitors/tourists.

I too live in CA., it is the worst run state in the union, worse than New York and that is hard to say. Newsome is a Piglosi relative and is as bad as she is. Both should be shot for treason! I would love to leave Calif. but I don’t really know where to go and get our good weather, by the way the only thing remaining decent about my state.
